Dont know if would classify as a gig but did see in Vegas "Love" Cirque du Soleil based on songs from the Beatles. Never really been interested in Cirque du Soleil as thought they're televison shows were not that exciting but live was amazing. Great acrobratics, props and choreography in with the Beatles song at the time, made for an enjoyable night. If the show comes to Australia would definately recommend going and has not got me interested in another of their shows.

Yep saw that last year and just blew me away too , not really into "shows" but from about a minute in when it went off i was hooked..

Don't know if it will ever come here as i think it is booked in vegas for ten years..

You lucky bugger knighter. Love the Beatles, went to Cirque de Soleil a couple of months or so ago and thought it was great. The two combined must have been fantastic.

See those with taste there! ;)

Ouch. ;D

How much are they, Ms? And when's the concert? Wouldn't mind seeing Muse at some stage, even if Knights of Cydonia and Invincible are such terrible songs...

15/11 at Rod Laver, skybeau. "Gold" tix (when did this BS become normal?) are about $94 (GA floor and some of the front rows along the sides and back), other tix about $10 less. I may be 40-something, but I couldn't go past GA after the wonderful Pixies experience I had earlier this year. :)

As for the songs you mentioned, yes I think they may have pushed their obsession to become the new Queen a little far there - but it'll be great to see this apparent mega-amazing show after last seeing them at the Evelyn many, many moons ago.

Bugger, right in the middle of exams. :( Bit pricy too...Snow Patrol was only $80, for the same venue (and for ALL seats/floor, none of this gold ticket bulldust). Perhaps the light show is responsible for the extra cost...

Cheers Ms Tantie!

Anyone going to Queenscliff this year? Gotye and Clare Bowditch have got me excited...

No you were right the first time Knighter. BDO has become the home of the past it headline act, since the Swagman burnt down they've had nowhere else to play.

Angie's Cold Hart
by Andrew Tijs - August 14 2007

Frente frontwoman Angie Hart releases her solo debut single and album.

It's rather hard to believe that it's taken almost fifteen years since 'Accidentally Kelly Street' shot Frente to Australian pop infamy for the twee group's singer to commit her solo material to tape. Hart has certainly kept herself busy, in the duo Splendid with her then-husband Jesse Tobias, reuniting with Frente in 2004, and singing with Leonardo's Bride instrumentalist Dean Manning as Holidays On Ice.

But come September 22, she'll release her solo debut 'Grounded Bird' on ABC Records. The first single from the album 'Cold Heart Killer', a sultry amble featuring her inimitable girlish vocals, is available for download on August 25. The "small and intimate" album features songs co-written by Ben Lee, Dan Luscombe of The Drones and Texan songwriter Craig Ross (who has worked with Daniel Johnston and Spoon).

Hart will skip through Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne for a series of album launches in October.

Tour Dates:
Friday October 5 – The Factory, Sydney
Friday October 12 – The Zoo, Brisbane
Saturday October 13 & Sunday October 14 – The Wheatsheaf, Adelaide
Thursday October 18 & Friday October 19 – The Toff In Town, Melbourne

Thanks for that GWW. :clap

They forgot to mention one of the best things she ever did, a song called 'Tingly' with a band called 'Pop!'. A really fun, '60ish, Saint Etienne-ish song. That was my summer song back in '95-'96. :)
