Jeez he was poor in the contest today. Have some real worries about him having an impact in finals. Needs it made pretty clear he needs to attack the ball harder. His one-handed efforts drive me nuts.

my thoughts exactly. almost incapable of winning his own ball. Its got to the point where it really bothers me watching him in the side. I would really like to see some indication that the coaches are seeing what we are. I know other clubs are seeing it and exposing him deep one out.

Just saw the article on the RFC website about it being the first week of Ramadan. Had 10 touches on the weekend, well down on his 20 average.

If fasting is affecting his play I would like to think he'd have the integrity to admit it and stand down from selection. If he doesn't and the club believes it is having an affect he should be dropped immediately until Ramadan is over. No player, least of all one of Houlis modest abilities, can afford to play in a weakened state. Again 'if' it is having an affect others who are prepared to make playing for Richmond a higher priority than he is should be afforded an opportunity.

id play him up the ground..wing /foward flank...can find certainly kick them from 50

Agree I never saw him as a defender.
More of an outside running type with a great kick

If he was played further up the ground he would be manned up and he would need to be able to win his own footy. I'd doubt this would be successful, as we need strong contests around the middle of the ground.

Insipid effort full of fumbles and pea-hearted goes. Hope he gets a rocket from dimma.

Yep has been terrible. Some questionable attacks on the contest which is putting it kindly

:D

It certainly is a different games these days. What would Hafey have done with him?

Really, skinfolds, nutritionists, psychs, wellbeing tests etc - but nobody planned for Ramadan!!!!

If he has to fast then he doesn't play it's unfair on his teammates he is a liability and one of the meekest softest footballers ive seen he costs goals by dodging contests and not hitting contests I'm sorry I still don't rate him this is why knights got rid of him. Flower sniffers say what you like he is soft pure and simple and the fact Cameron resigned him so uneccessarily early no wonder the club is going nowhere

This guy is a terrible professional footballer. He is an imposter of the highest order, he is scared and does nothing for the team - putrid.

Just as us Richmond supporters were finally getting over the nightmares of Tivendale they go and pick up Houli. Thanks......Just thanks! :'(

I have dire concerns on this bloke, i dont understand, second year blues cant be said.....his like had 5 years in the afl.........i am dumbfounded how *smile* he his is....Griiggs softness I can accept, but houli far out pff have back has been awful this year.

Amazing to think we have rushed in a signed this bloke for another 2 seasons like he was about to be poached.

Has had a horrible season and if we had any replacements, he'd be off to the Burgs.

He is great PR for the club, they dare not drop him, as he was a start at Essendon and couldn't get a game, maybe they were on to something.
