If it's not facts it's your gut feel, I'll go with the facts. His turnovers are very damaging, he rarely does a job on an opposition forward and his contribution to our scoring thrusts are far more limited than pundits believe. Prove otherwise.

Sorry it's the eyes not the gut BJ.

I've told you what I see, tell me what you ser. The contest squibbing? The panic handballs to hot teamates? The turnovers that cost us? The lack if run back to cover?

Just letting Jack know there's someone else out there that values a very important running half back flank although I could argue that an average of 24 disposals a game is a fact.
On a personal note I am perplexed at the relentless denigration of Houli but each to their own.
BH averages 21.4 disposals a game in 2017 and 21.5 for his career.

The voice of reason Jack.
Not welcome here. We only deal with emotion and unshakable preconceived ideas. Facts are irrelevant. Please don't post any more factual statements

I think we all love a good whipping boy, BT. (Might have to go and give my scapegoat a few lashes. ;D)

AFL tables has him at 23.62 for 2017 and 24.92 for 2016, tim. 23.62 rounded to 24. That's my ready reckoner.

Re: Bachar "Back in Black & Yellow" Houli

To not pick him next week would be a brave admission of error by the club.
He hasn't been injured.
Not picking him says "we've always thought him worth a spot, but when forced upon us, we realze he's not.".

Our best backman for score involvements.
We were 3-1 in the 4 games leading up to his suspension. Our only loss in this time was to the all conquering swans.
Our worst half of footy for the year was without him. To a team out of the 8.
Opponents tag him cos they know how important he is.
Id tag him too. When he's under pressure he coughs the ball up or gives it to someone under more pressure. He was a good player has dropped off in the last couple of years. Used to run forward and back. Now struggles to run back and cover.

Re: Bachar "Back in Black & Yellow" Houli

Without Houli I think we have lost our kamikaze run.

Houli's run and spread and link up creates holes and options, making us less predictable.
Even more important when we don't have tall 'down the line' targets.

After this week show his importance to the team, Houli will be tagged each week by the opposition.

What a joke IF he comes straight back into the team.

We don't miss him.

Broad is younger, has speed and is better one on one which is what we need come finals.

Backwards move bringing in another softie when we already have Grigg and BEllis.

Amazing. Broad is suddenly a gun player.

23.62 in 2017. 4th for disposals on the Tigers list. 73rd in the competition. Not many backmen above him. 13th for clangers at the Tigers. Not even top 100 in the league. His errors are highlighted a bit too much by some. Sure it will happen when you take the game on. Dusty is #1 in the league for clangers yet he is B&F favourite. Bachar also has very good metres gained stats. Integral to the Tigers backline.

But he is a backman, did he shut down the players he played on?

Any numpty can chase kicks and run into space but if he can't shut his player down then his value is marginal.

You reckon Borad should get a game ahead of Houli. Pretty much sums it up. 2 games in and he's suddenly the messiah in the backline.

Serious? So every backman should be a shut down player? If that's your belief you know jack about footy.

Re: Bachar "Back in Black & Yellow" Houli

The four weeks off will have given the conditioning staff an opportunity to flog him on the track for a couple of weeks. He should come back super-fit.

Once again, WHERE DID I SAY HE WAS A GUN PLAYER??? OR A MESSIAH FOR THAT MATTER???

lol, it's a play of words you d!ck to get a point across. You think Broad is a better player than Houli. That's a joke (and yes I know you didn't say you were making a joke).

OK so now you get all personal?

We have managed fine without Houli.

If anything it only strengthens my argument and its concrete proof that he isn't "integral" to our backline!

I don't think or nor did I say Broad was a "gun player" or "messiah of the backline" you've just twisted my post to suit your alternative view.

In future why don't you try and read a post first before ASSUMING what people think.

Wait a minute you're the one who posted that I make up sh!t as usual TWICE. Don't throw stones if you can't take the hits that come back at you.

Gees the Houli Haters have come back in spades.
