Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

I wonder if the Houli critics will still be carrying on how useless he is.

It's a bloody shame we don't have another 2 running around for us.

The least of our concerns.

Got it in two.

When we're bad he only stands out because, well... he stands out.

On the same token, only looks good when the others look worse...because, well..he stands out.

Solution, needs to shave?

33 touches at 91% efficiency, 9 tackles and 10 contested possessions. Downhill skier couldn't be further from the truth.

Brilliant today, maybe his best game for the club. Went back a couple of times with the flight as well. And got smashed. And then did it again.

Doing this today after the week he had, speaks volumes for this bloke.

Not many AFL footballers should be role models. This bearded marvel is. I'm a huge fan.

We need another one of him. But 10cms taller and 10kgs heavier.

Bachar earned his dollars today, unlike quite a number of his team mates.
I have to give it to him in that he seems to be trying to add a hard edge to his game style.
Still a little dodgy at times under pressure, but he is starting to have a real dip and put his body on the line more often than he used to.

SCOOP we desperately need another 1 or 2 running half backs like Houli. I would be tempted to play Deledio there when he returns.

Elite.

But the haters still come out with the excuses.

I think we need Deledio forward and look at fast tracking Menadue as that other flanker in the back line if the season goes more pear shaped.

Dea was supposed to be that type but he's no chance to fill the role. Maybe Mcdonough gets six weeks at the role. But we need another Houli. Desperately.

Could Lennon play that role? I'm not sure if he would be quick enough but having said that I'm not sure he would be much slower than Batchelor anyway.

Seeing Saad today I can't help but think we missed one from right under our noses.

Yep. I wonder if he'd be regarded differently if his name was Barry Howard and only had a hipster beard.

What about Castagna??

Had a good game today and can hold his head high unlike most of his teammates. My only gripe with Houli is he is not consistent with his game. More good games than bad but the bad are seriously bad. If only he would get more consistency into his game he would be an absolute star.

His bad are not as bad as people make out. Much like Sheds a year or so ago.

Always reliable. Agree with Baloo's comments if he had a different name.
Always been a fan.

I think he is the type, not sure about his composure and kicking. Same thing with Drummond. Both are quick and we are that desperate for pace, maybe that 's why Drummond get the early call up. And maybe that's why Castagna should be given a look. If we keep losing and right the year off, I'd like see him get a go.

Don't know much about him but Saad was Coburg's B&F, he would have been a perfect foil for Houli.

It is a head scratcher. But he's exactly what we need.

A couple of years ago Sheds was consistently mediocre and now turns it on bigtime week in, week out. Houli can play a blinder one week and the next a nightmare. He needs to get consistency into his game. I would prefer it if his highs dropped slightly and he is just consistently reliable every match.

Played a great game. He now starting taking overhead marks doing backwards. Not going to ground easily.

We need the other midfielders and forwards to follow example.
