Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Exactly. And what did our coaches do at the other end? Let that skirt lamumba run around with no opponent all night. It was disgraceful. Houli is what he is - and will be exploited when we are out coached.

Pulled out of a few contests tonight which he does regularly soft

I noticed it a bit last night. Looks ready to go from the side of the pack then backs off last second and confuses the teammate who expected him to go. There are times when you just have to keep your eyes on the ball and just go for it.

One on one he *smile* himself and everyone knows he has only one side a big liability without
space to link up .

And his beautiful delivery streaming out of half back line with no pressure on him in the last quarter and misses every target on the field in front of him including the Melbourne players and kicks it 45 degrees and over the boundary.

Footballer, pffftttt....

Yeah right.

For me this was exactly it! People know Houli's strengths and weaknesses and it is our coaches job to let him play to his strengths and the other coach's job to try and stop that. In this Hardwich got a spanking last night from Poos.

Utterly rubbish coaching performance again. Bulldongs game anyone?

For all his faults, and he has many, our backline run seems dependent on Houli. Everyone knows this and if pressure is applied to Houli we struggle. Surely there should be someone else who can be COACHED to run out of the backline as well.

Yep, despite his negatives and supposedly being curbed yesterday he did gain 572 metres, the most of any Tiger, and pretty impressive from only 21 disposals. Disposal efficiency wasn't too bad either (compared to many other Tigers). It's pretty tough on our backmen when we press forward, cheap turnover and Melbourne kick straight over our press to one on ones.

Downhill skier. Has always been so.

Like so many looks great against the sh!t sides found out when the pressure is applied.

Represents all that is wrong with this *smile* of a club.

Agreed

I wonder if the Houli critics will still be carrying on how useless he is.

It's a bloody shame we don't have another 2 running around for us.

Houli and Sheds are currently our two most consistently good players. Sheds is finally getting some credit. Houli should be too.

33 touches at 91% efficiency, 9 tackles and 10 contested possessions. Downhill skier couldn't be further from the truth.

He lifted today.

Thought Grigg did OK on Selwood when he was on him - and before anyone jumps on that comment - he has lost his effectiveness when he gets the ball and has time to do something with it

Fumbler at crucial times. His kicking was ordinary when going long. Tackled well today, first time I've seen him tackle well.

He's not good under pressure, proven time and again. You need to be an elite user when playing his role and he's not.

Agree looked good today, ran well, tackled well, disposal, good under pressure. It's amazing when the team isn't playing well that people see what they want to see

Under pressure fumbler. 2 crucial ones today. He plays the easiest role on the team. His long kicking today was poor. He plays on from behinds and kicks deep to contests.

The best part of today was his tackling, as good as I've seen him tackle. His ball use needs to be elite but it's not when the heat is on.

Maybe if we actually contested the balls when they were sent long it wouldn't look like it was the kickers fault. Too many times we were out of position or too easily outmarked by (to be fair very good) defenders in Rivers, Lonergan and Taylor then maybe the kicks wouldn't look so wasted. Rivers, Lonergan and Taylor taught is a lesson in contested marking today, thats not the fault of Houli but of the forwards and mids competing in those contests.

If Batch was half the player of Houli then we would have some great attacking intent and good ball movement from our back half, unfortunately Batchelor is Batchelor and is not good enough.

I think our 2014 draft looks pretty good at the moment, but gee you look at Adam Saad and think how much we could have done with him to come into one of our half back positions.
