Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

He was horrible but he's normally pretty consistent. Calls to drop or move out of a rebounding role are a bit silly. Our only other rebounder is Newman? So you're getting 10 possessions out of him a week. We need Houli for now. Newman needs to be replaced first.
Agreed there, Barnzy. There are a few others who need to go before Bachar.

Newman has been playing on the forward flank lately so how is he being blamed on our lack of run out of the backline?

For the first time I can remember Houli has copped a close tag so he had better get used to it as other teams will be following suit.

It will be a true test of his mettle.

Disagree!

At least Newman is dependable - his 10 posessions are quality & he will tackle and will go for the hard ball!

Houli's fumbles, turnovers & lack of pressure are demoralizing for spectators & must be for the players too.

brightsider.

Have any of the Houli supporters ever considered the notion of opportunity cost?

In everything tonight. A much better performance this week and tonight he showcased his skill and commitment. hen he is on song he is a class act but just needs to be consistent

Brilliant tonight. Was in everything. Won contested and uncontested ball. Set up countless forward entries off half back.

He should be known as The Barometer. When he plays well Richmond win.

Problem is he is one of the players that never stands up when it counts. Against the better sides in big games.

Interesting. Barometer is a measuring device. Doesn't cause what it measures.

Wonder which way cause and effect flows in the premise 'When he pays well Richmond win'.

We know he's an extremely damaging payer against weak opposition. We also know what happens to him in finals.

Which one of our players stands up consistently against good sides in big games? I can't think of one.

Maybe if Houli had rebounding help besides Rance the good sides wouldn't be able to focus and shut him down so easily? Lucky he wasn't dropped or moved out position this week as PRE wanted though hey!

Houli is the only back flank weapon we have.

And he does it brillantly. Attack on the ball cannot be questioned.

Solid core footballer.

Thought Houli definitely drew a "line in the sand" for himself against the Lions. Won contested ball and put himself on the line when the pressure was on. Would love to see him produce such efforts consistently against the elite teams. Has the potential to definitely impact on games if he remains focused and committed to the cause.

I reckon the problem against the good teams is that he is short on mates. He can't do it himself when the forward pressure is on, but can't blame him for that. He is a bloody good player, but needs a little more help when we are trying to going forward.

Agree with this. .....lets see it in the next 3-4 games.
