Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Houli is a great role model and I'm proud he is a tiger. I get the feeling that if we improve our outside running he will improve even more as his gut running is a great example to the rest of our list.

Thought Bachar looked very sharp against Port.
Skills were top notch and handled the ball very cleanly.
Never worried when he had the ball in his hands.
Is maturing into an excellent player.

I concur he looked in top nick and took a fantastic overhead contested mark which made me do a double take as this was a weakness in the past just like Tross it seems to have improved. His ball handling and linking was first rate.

I've often wondered if the Essendon drugs abuse world have gone on for so long if someone like bachar was still at their club

Love this bloke.

A genuine star.

Hope he goes career best in 2015. That would get him close to AA.

We have a few players like Houli who can look very good. They all need to start being able to play that well against the best in the comp. If enough of them can we will be hard to beat!

agree. Bachar cops it a bit from some but he is so important to our structure. Reads the play beautifully.

I thought he played a ripping game.
He actually knows how to time his runs off the backline well, and is a good reader of the play.

When he first arrived at the club I thought he would be lucky to last more than a couple of years, as his defensive side was poor. But credit where credit is due, he has improved in all aspects of his game.
As someone previously mentioned, that contested mark was a beauty!

Well done Bachar, I'm a huge fan these days

His reading of the game on sat was a feature of his play, one of the best games I have seen him play.

Brought his own ball on Saturday. I think he's underrated here. He's definitely Essendon's loss and our gain both on and off the field.

One of my favourites, just love this blokes overlap run n carry. Works his freckle off opening the game up for us.

The ABC season guide bizarrely groups him with Newman, Chaplin, Grigg and Petterd as a player in decline. A couple of kicking howlers but otherwise turned in his usual solid performance.

Some wanted him dropped for Round 1 :hihi

Classy mover, fast, and has improved his defensive game over the years to reach AFL standard. We need his drive off half back.

Run & carry expert. Was superb tonight. Gained 664 metres tonight. That's elite.

Looks fitter, looks stronger. Powerful runner.

You're selling him short Scoop. It was 665 metres.

I don't get the critics. He's fantastic at setting us up off half back. Very much needed.
