Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Surely the coaches must go over this with him ?!
Like other posters have that's 3-4 games now where he stuffed up by just booting the ball
Anywhere . Useless how he missed griff is beyond a joke

If more evidence is needed you only need to look at last week when Menzel is not manned up and Houli is manning space with his hands on his needs. His lack of accountability last week was an indictment on our coaches. This week he was more accountable but still refused to compete or chase with intent. Please make him sub or drop him so that the fans have some faith that the coaches are seeing the problem.

I've become a big Houli fan and am bemused by those Tiger supporters who don't see him as an integral part of the future. For a player previously seen as a liability overhead and perhaps one who "sleeps with the lights on", he is now rarely beaten in the air and displayed commendable bravery on a number of occasions on Thursday. Carlton thought him important enough to tag (Ellard).

Rapidly closing on a much-deserved 100th game.
Houli was no way tagged last week. Houli was loose in defence for much of the game and was completely ineffective.

I was thinking that maybe Houli was adding a bit of physical hardness to his game, but I am finding myself wavering on that assessment.

I don't usually buy into the hysteria about labelling Houli a squib. But today he hung back on several occasions. Was a poor effort today and contributed to our demise no doubt.

He was pathetic in the last quarter. Totally jibbed a contest when he could have helped a team mate and we would have won possession at CHB. Instead he short stepped it and hung out for the easy ball. We lost possession which resulted in a WB goal when we had momentum.

Then that kick that he should have nailed to Griffio went straight over his head. 20-25 metres under no pressure. Griffo would have a set shot from 35 and the way he was kicking he nails it and wins the game. For someone who is supposed to be such a good kick he sure misses a lot of targets when it counts.

Overrated footballer but another Dimma love child.

Had a bad game. Add him to another 19 players on the day.

Even if he was having a really bad day, he should've hit either Griffo or the new kids on the guts 40 out.
That kick into the 50 was disgraceful.
But he always does it.
Last week, I lost count how many times he refuse to go a contest

Look he is good when he is good but seriously he cost us the final last year by not popping it over the top and on the weekend wowee lower your eyes son !!!

I have to watch the replay, but I thought I saw Houli trying to crash some packs to take marks in the 4th quarter. He looked desperate in some of the encounters.

Didn't see anything other than bits of the 4th though.

I've thought he has slowly toughened up as a player. Does bomb away with his kicks under pressure. He needs to do 10000 reps of a kicking drill that lowers his eyes when under fatigue.

Houli is fine - should be moved to the wing.

i had thought that, but he seems to run better from behind the ball than in front. he rarely leads straight to the tiger with the ball, instead prefers to run toward our goal into space. this IMO makes him better suited to HB.

i expected him to hit a target deep in the last, but he bombed away, this and ellis tackle cost us a result...but I am being a little harsh as the whole team stunk all day.

Down a little on rebounding run, but hasn't been terrible.

Little confusing when Dusty goes back there.. dosent know where to go/play...

Ill be buck the trend on here and say we are perhaps going a little backwards to move significantly forward. Wait and see. Frustration for us, our best is BLOODY good.. our average is as poor as 18th!,,

We need to be able to play ugly for periods of the game and NOT let the opposition hurt is on the score board.

Were as best positioned to knock off collingwood as we have ever been. Not taking account of pre season crap, I'm fronting Friday night with REAL (not false as in the past) expectation of hearing our song around 10:15pm Friday night.
