And I am sure that all of your 6942 posts have been gems ::)Getting back on topic.19 marks in 5 games,201cm.Contested overhead????Enlighten me oh wonderous one.

Your are mistaken assuming that your trolling attempts are good enough to get a second reaction.

Need to look at another Greg Dear/Greg Stafford/Simmonds trade at the end of the year.

Is this why we are apparently looking at Trengrove from Port Adelaide.

He was poor again tonite, Miller and Vickery had more impact in the centre bounces then him.
Just doesn't do enough around the ground.
At least at the end of this year we know exactly what we need to draft/recruit... a ruckman and defenders

Could we please give Big Angus a break? Yeah, he's not perfect but at the end of the day, he tries his guts out and is competitive when it counts. He does lack skill but I think we all underestimate how difficult his position is. He's probably not going to be the answer to our rucks in the future but he's battled well so far this season and deserves to stay in the side until Brown/X Man can prove otherwise.

Kepp going Angus! :clap

WOW some support for the big G.U.S.

I haven't seen the game tonight had to listen to it on the radio but if plasma was subbed off the big boy from KI can't have been going too bad (or plas was complete sh!t)

Either way he obviously had a crack and that rates as pretty important........especially if you lead the lead in hit outs (cheers for the stat brodders)

Yes, it does with Dimma.

Enough said. Gus is getting a game because he puts in despite his limitations. Our other ruckmen should take note. There are games to be had for the player who has a real crack at it.

Browne has been good a few games in a row for Coburg now. Time to give him a shot. Jsut not convinced on Angus. Can't explain it, jsut doesnt do enough for my liking well enough.

Angus must be listening to his ruck coach, Monky, because he refuses to jump at centre bounces.

Couldn't have been too bad tonight for us to sub TV off for most of the 2nd half.

Interesting to note that Roos refused to man up on big Gus coming out of defense, we should have kicked it to him more often ... as long a a little block was running past for the handball though!

Was not up against the worst ruckman going around today by a long shot ... keep trying Gus!

Yeah I certainly don't think he's the worst of our problems by any means... Our defense in our opponents entire half of the ground as attrocious...

Listening to the game on the radio today, as soon as I heard 2 North Melbourne players names strung together, and that they were moving it forward from ANYWHERE on the ground, I almost new a shot at goal was coming from it...

I don't think Angus is any type of star, but I think he's a work horse. We have great guys in the midfield who can make the most of disputes at stoppages,,, it just kills us because if his tip out is NOT successful and the opposition get it cleanly, it's almost always heading down the the opposition goal square... Which is not his fault, and putting a little bit of unfair pressure on him to win every ruck battle just to keep our opponents from scoring...

Way bigger area's to work on, and Graham will get better...

I'm sure i've said it in this topic before, but I think our ruckman will be the final piece in the puzzle... Until then, back half defense is MASSIVE for us to improve on..

I remember a centre bounce where it went well in Graham's favour and he went at it unopposed and still managed to tap it down straight to a North player. It was then called back. Tries hard but so uncoordinated. That piece of play sums up Gus well.

I'd love to see the stats for hit outs to advantage. The opposition always looks dangerous at stoppages around goal (a Brendon Lade specialty); we never do.

The man is our clydesdale. Just keeps pulling, doesn't stop. Not the best Ruckman going around but gees he's getting a lot of game time for a young ruckman.

Way to early to write off. Not many young ruckman were getting as much game timer as Big Gus.

Think you'll fin that Monky is back at collinwood (or perhaps StKilda - can't recall)

Was nervous as hell when TV went off - couldn;t help thinking "well that's done it for us now", but to Angus's credit, he got his hands to ball well in a number of taps and provided some first use

Was still very average around the ground, didn;t even use his body at contests because we was 'following'. Has to conserve energy I guess, but wasn't a good look at times.

I'd like to call him 'tireless' but it'd be a lie and 'tiresome' seems just a tad harsh.

one of our biggest problems is certainly in the ruck with angus graham almost non competitive, for such a young group, this puts our midfield behind the eightball, derix or brown must get a go, teams are so confident against us that rucks have regularly pushed forward, young vickery is showing huge promise and will be a top ruckman, but our no 1 ruck is a huge concern

Vickery is not a footballers *smile*.
As for the Graham cut-out, are you sure it not Darren *smile* in disguise?

By the same token, go back and watch that goal last week by Dustin on Harry O'bryan, and Graham had done as perfect tap down to Cotchin as you will ever see from a Ruckman to allow that goal to happen...

Really brilliant Ruckman take a long time to get their brilliance.... And the team around them can go a long way to making them look better or worse.
