It's funny how opposition clubs/supporters really rate him, but most on here don't.
Of course they rate him. Guides them to victory more often than not.

good post. my collingwood mates :vomit were very surprised how good he is. i reminded them what they paid for cam wood at that point

If the big goose actually imposed himself around the ground by taking marks and smashing blokes in contests then I wouldn't have too many issues with him. But if you're an average tap ruck man and you can't assist in other areas then you are in big trouble.

Gus is equal third on tackles at 26, after White on 25 it falls away considerably to Dusty at 15, Lids 14.

So how many other rucks are top 3 for tackles at other clubs?

he is an OK ruckman. Should be better though - alot of room for improvement.

He causes me great frustration. Needs to punch the ball through for a point when teams kicks for goal falls 5 metres short.
He seems to have judgement issues at centre bounces particularly early in games.

He is capable of kicking goals but has not been doing it this season.

I don't think he is in the best of form so should get better. Has had better patches in previous years.

As far as I can tell Gus and Goldstein are the only two. Of course Gus is slightly helped in that regard because a lot of star players on our team aren't so keen on racking up the tackles, of course that doesn't get brought up nearly as much as much as Gus's faults.

I'm hoping this sticks but a few of us Tigers have labelled Angus the "Witches Hat" and have been calling him "Witchy"...... Catchy?

probably an involuntary action.

must fall on top of opposition mids after he taps to them

Thought Angus did well again last night.

He's definitely a much improved player.

Angus - in that 3rd qtr when we were stuffing around with the ball and wouldnt kick it long when angus got it he kicked it long im pretty sure we scored something from it 2 to 4 times 24 hitouts with (29%) advantage to us ,1 goal assist, 7 times was involved in us scoring

agreed, he was good last night, one thing to remeber is that despite him not doing his best to emulate polly farmer we have rarely been monstered by opposing rucks since warnock in r 1 ...so he is breaking even ..last night ne was on top

He's doing OK. Big job for a young bloke. A lot of criticism on this thread is over the top.

His a good foot soldier. Some supporters r way to harsh. He is getting better. Never be a star but be a good warrior. Good character

Will be no match for the Fremantle colossus this week. How badly he's beaten will be pivotal.
Go the Tigers hey... ::)

Who is though? We will get smashed in ruck, that's a given. Just need our mids to shark his work.
