Andrew 'Mini' McQualter

How about youth?
Youth wasnt the problem. I'll go along with the Dow was good narrative for the sake of it. Two first gamers did more than enough. Vlas and Broad kept us in it across HB. Rioli was a crock. Dustin was Dustin. The rest had little or no defensive application. Vs a side that was basically having a rest. Maybe it was just me but I got a bit sick of Port passing the ball the entire length of the ground.

The man appears to be a competent modern coach.

Navigated us through some tricky waters. A fine servant of the club whatever happens and he’s earned this lowly mug’s respect.

I don't think any of us can know whether Mini is a good coach behind the scenes. I think we can probably move on an assistant or two, and get some coaches who've demonstrated that they can work a high performing midfield.
I agree with recruiting kids with a priority on skills and speed.
But I'd like to add mongrel competitors to the mix.
I'd heard a story (no idea if it's actually true) that one of our premiership team was so competitive, as a kid he punched another kid in the face because his "leaf boat" lost a race down a creek and the other kid laughed at him. That's the type of fight I want to see. No weak willed spuds.

I wonder if he stays on even if he doesn’t get the job?
He said today he’d reconsider his options and that if a new coach were announced that coach probably wouldn’t want Mini around. Which sounds like he’d go.

After the GWS win, ol mate Bevvo might be sending an email to the RFC to see if he can apply.

On a serious note. Bevvo's just found himself on shaky ground now at the Western Oval I reckon.

Dogs will want to start 24 iin good form or Bevvo will start to cop the heat.

The meeeja need a coach on death row and if Simmo survives it will be both he and Bevvo that will have the torch facing them.

Bevvo already on trouble. Coterie wanted him gone after the WC loss. Club said they'd make finals to Coteries, and told em to calm down.
Things got interesting tonight.

Can't stand Ross. There is something deeply unlikable about him. I have not seen his theory work on the pitch. His style wins H&A but falls over in finals. It's deeply conservative. Having said all that, if he won premierships I wouldn't care one bit whether I liked him or not. I said all of that, to say this; I don't like him and so I couldn't give fat rats arse what his opinion of Mini is.

Hi Ruffy. I take it you're a fan of Rossy Lyon? Fair enough. I consider myself a pretty good judge of character. He reminds me of Kevin Sheedy, another bloke I can't stand. Never given a straight answer in his life. Shifty. Smarmy. Git.

And the saints last week. And the Bulldogs the week before. Our midfield defensive setup has been woeful
