Andrew 'Mini' McQualter

Depends if the individual can analyse and understand what the better clubs do and implement a game plan / game style to counter and outplay them. Don't think you need to be at another club to do this if you have the footy smarts awareness analytical skills and can read trends of the game. I wouldn't discount Mini the same way I wouldn't guarantee him the job had we made finals. Would love to be a fly on the wall listening to what his and other candidates philosophies on the game going forward are.
I actually think he does see the game well what I’m not convinced of is his ability to instill and drive the team rules , eg our team defense, cornerstone of our success since 2017 has fallen off the cliff

Pathetic honesty team selection him and selectors the kids take the rapt like Banks last week after 2 spineless efforts last 2 weeks puzzling.

If Mini has been the coach for years then he is responsible for the 3 seasons which have been disasterous.

He has shown that he is not up to the job already so why sign up for 3 more years of pain?

But wasn’t he also responsible for the three premierships? Got some browny points!

No not at all ironically it was in those years mini became 2ic he was the real brains
GC better not be reading this just as Dimma is about to sign a 5 year multi million dollar deal with them
They should’ve head hunted Mini Dimma “the real brains” behind our :cupgold:cupgold:cupgold

You can't appricate the good times unless you live through the bad

Tough gig taking over a team mid season , id imagine it would be nearly impossible to get new game plans working well , however for me there’s a few issues that go against us going forward with Mini , one i think the fresh change and adrenalin the players felt at the start is now gone , I can’t think of any reinventions of players or something creative in the game plan , we get slaughtered in the turn over with so many of our defenders guarding space not players , the one that really worries me is how often we get players sucked into the contest now with the opposition sneaking out the back .

Mini is a no for me at this point , too many players not playing at their best and we are certainly not playing well as a unit .

Could be his last game in charge or not.
Whatever happens personally I've been super impressed by Mini & the way he has conducted himself since Hardwick's departure.
He's been strategic in games, consistent, calm in his approach & as said regularly never made it about himself.

I've no idea if he'll get our snr job or not but the man deserves a massive pat on the back regardless.
If the process unearths him as the best candidate I'd be happy with it. If not he won't be short of a job in the industry any time soon.
Well done Andrew.
