Alex Rance

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

I think Rance will be fine with 7-8kg's. If he puts on a dozen, even better.

He will be able to %90 of key forwards in the comp with 7-8kgs.

"Just get out of my way, boy!" ;D ( bloody steam roller,) "flatten him Raves". That's our boy ;D

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

just finished watching the roar vision footage of the guy, he is super impressive. Great marking skills, and he runs and links up down field as though he is a midfielder.

Am i dreaming to think he could play down back in 08 for us?

Very exciting to think of Thursfield, Polak and Rance featuring in our back half for many seasons ahead

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

From the above photo he doesnt need to do to much work on his upper body, but those chicken legs are another matter :hihi
Seriously lets not put to much presure on the kid!

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

Could we expect any senior footy out of him next year ? Taking into account our lack of kpp!

Ideally you'd hope he has a season of development at Coburg but little doubt given our pathetic lack of defensive talls that Alex will play senior games in '08 as injuries bite.

I think I put somewhere wlse but all the recrutuing staff on Saturday said there was very little doubt that he wouldnt play a lot of senior footy next year...they feel he has the body that will be right to go

too many double and tripple negatives in that statement CC.

I'll simplify it; how many senior games does the coaching staff expect Rance to play in 2008.

22 ;D

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

surely we need to blood him in with at least 10 games, the kid is going to be a unit of backman

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

A mate of mine (who is generally a good judge) saw him play in the Championships (I think it was) was very impressed with him and felt he would be able to play senior AFL football next year.

(and he is a Melbourne Supporter) Poor fellow :hihi

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

I'd b disappointed if he didn't get a game next year considering Polak isn't given the responsibility of being an accountable backman. It looks like Polak will b playing more forward next season, with only Thursfield, McGuane, Bowden & Rance as possible tall backs...

Re: Rance - A full back at Richmond

There's some resemblence to Glen Jackovich in the way he plays.

No time to change now Craigy boy, its up up n away for the mighty Tiges ;D

Just watched the short roar vision interview with the young Lad on the RFC website seems like a down to earth fella great pick up just listening to him talks like a leader.

Worked his guts out at training today. Great endurance/motor for someone who has not been in the system any time at all. Big, strong body.

Head goes everywhere when he gets tired though.

Besides his kicking, the club needs to get Hornsby to work on his running technique when he gets tired.

Running technique needs to be worked on for a few. Thought at times Shane Edwards moved a bit odd as well.

A big bloke with a motor and a natural footballer. Could be handy in the backhalf.
