Running technique needs to be worked on for a few. Thought at times Shane Edwards moved a bit odd as well.

A big bloke with a motor and a natural footballer. Could be handy in the backhalf.

Kicking and decision making need work first.

I am not quite as down on the decision making, the kicking needs some work. I actually think he is not that bad with the ball in his hands, the choices he makes are OK, it's just the execution of his thoughts that can let him down.

Worked his guts out at training today. Great endurance/motor for someone who has not been in the system any time at all. Big, strong body.

Head goes everywhere when he gets tired though.

Besides his kicking, the club needs to get Hornsby to work on his running technique when he gets tired.

Is the house intact ?

Claw rated Rance as high as a pick #2 chance........ so are you questioning the judgement of PRE's resident expert?
Great band Van Halen :clap

Enough of you trying to be serious Red. Go back to kicking heads ;)
yep i had him as high as 2 in regards to perhaps looking afte list needs. cotchin or masten was always going to be my pick at 2. i was praying for an upgraded top 10 pick though to get him in this regards i think we got a steal. rance at 18 pears collier at 19 would have done me. we build depth and competition for kpds in one go.

people mention running teqniques pace sheesh what i have seen of him he covers the ground he moves well if he has a technique problem he will only get better. pace well hes not slow he maynot do a sub 3 sec but he would be damn close to 3 sec.again i think he can improve.

finally people say fb to me hes a chb i think red said in the mould of hunter i would agree with this. also i think he has a way to go as far as smarts go a yr at coburg should be the go for rance by all means if he shows enough give him a taste. one thing about him he will work hard to improve himself.

Will be a ripper no worries and has been a great get for the Tigers at 18.

Wont be too long before this kid confines the likes of McGuane and Moore to Coburg

Didn't you say the same thing about Polo a couple of years back. ;D

Yep. As did others.

And just how quick is Polo ? He's as slow as a wet week. How is his endurance ? Even the club stated he was severely lacking in the fitness stakes when he first started.

Agree.

There's a long distance between starring in an U18 carnival and delivering on a weekly basis in a key position at AFL level. Rance will need to work out his flaws before being exposed to the rigours of the above. It would only take 2 or 3 sessions with a professional running coach if he needs to get his technique right. I imagine that would also have a positive impact on his kicking too.

I don't see Rance having any flaws that can't be fixed up quickly. After all, isn't that what junior development is all about?

And, yes, to me CHB is probably his position, but in today's game he must have that ability to follow his matched opponent wherever he goes. If his matched opponent starts or moves to FF then he has to follow him.

Polo had a pretty handy debut by my recollection. ;)

Looking forward to seeing Dean back on the track at full fitness.
A bit of the forgotten man in this outfit. Hopefully he's set for a very good '08.
