Yep that was his brain fade for the day but nowhere to go.

Usually you'd take the tackle and hold onto the ball but given the umpiring on the day I'm sure that he was petrified that as soon as someone touched him he was going to get pinged.

Anyone who says umpires don't influence games by making bad decisions and affecting the confidence of players, they're full of crap.
 
Been a rare highlight for the year but thought he was a little down on recent games. Certainly gives 100%.

i thought he had a bit of a mare actually but was still serviceable. he'll be much better when a seasoned grimes and astbury are both in the team and it would help if the opposition mids werent allowed to run the ball through our lazy midfield zone unopposed

WOW is somebody having a go at the midfield, I thought everything was the ruckmans fault :-X
 
In most teams the ruckman is part of the midfield setup. Not in ours.

Really happy with Rance's development throughout the yr.
 
I really like Alex, he is the one player on our list who should come out of the second half of the season with his reputation enhanced

Where are all the dud posts etc.. etc.. gone about Rance?

Well will wait till he make a few mistakes in a game that seemed to have been contributed to a loss.

Rance looked down on his recent form to me today, but I do wonder how much of that might have been put down to the fact that Newman and Batchelor were not playing.

Rance made a few turnovers coming out of defence today, and to me they looked like blown set pieces rather than brain fades like Lukey did. On at least one occassion I saw Rance remonstrate with a teammate who was not in the right place at the right time.

He'd definitely be deserving of it!

I'll never forget that game against Essendon where he did EVERYTHING. He was absolutely exhausted at the end of the game!

Turn out he plays 100% game time! Every week! :eek:

Makes one or two glaring mistakes a week but his upside outweighs these. Has come from a low base to be showing more than most talls after 40 games. Impossible not to be enthused by his improvement.
