From what I've seen of him on Youtube etc....seems like a funny guy.

According to a little interview richo did with the players, lids reckons his probably the funniest in the group..

His second half was a lot better than his first half last week against Freo.

Contrary to what others are saying here I think its the one on one body contest where Rance still needs to work . In fact our 3 young defenders in Astbury , Rance and Grimes still need work in this area but that is perfectly understandable given their age and experience. Rance is fine at spoiling but only when he gets a run at the ball to get a fist on it.

I am not critical of him at all , he is going great. I am sure Leppa is working on this with him .

Like every RFC player, if Rance can play a meaningful role in the team and add something then good on him and I will support him all the way.

Just wish he was 5cm taller.

Wow he's about 6 ' 4'' in the old measurement, Taller than John Nicholls from memory. How big do our defenders need to be?

He looks short because he spends a lot of the game on his knees.

Agreed and hunched over. He's definitely tall enough if he decides to use his height and size properly.

He also failed to touch two ball in the goal square. Its not that hard to get a fist to the bloody ball.

He has shown improvement. Give the kid time. Composure will come with experience.
He is an improving rebound defender.

Yeah, was poor today.

Although can't help when the only experienced key defender beside you is McGuane who is a hack of massive proportions. It puts more pressure on you than it does help you. Rance has shown improvement so 1 or 2 bad games is not the end of the world yet. Still needs a hell of a lot of improvement in many areas though.

His major issue he can't judge the ball overhead, even to punch.

Will never be able to play on a tall player with adequate overhead skills.

Has been better recently but when he's bad, he's really bad. Like Edwards. Can't afford to have in the team. Morale sapper.

i was sitting behind the goals on the second level at the end that happened both times.....
i usually defend rance........ tho with those to occasions he "DOGGED IT", josh fraser style........ all i can say is he looked scared of colliding with the goal post
