Alex Rance

Was excellent tonight. Has found composure and kicking skills over the off season. Slowly building a career I hope.

The question should then be, why are we playing such a dumb, unaware footballer?
The question should then be, why don't you see a good footballer when you see one?

Why do we read the posts of such a dumb, unaware poster?

Thought he played a great game tonight and has been more than serviceable in his others - his disposal is good and spoils as well as any - good stuff Alex i think this year could well be his breakout year and he will be a good back options for years to come

Great game but we wont see him for a couple of weeks. Head high bump on Raines pretty stupid I thought

Hmmmm - I'm not sure he will go for it.

Was a good game for Rance - I am not a fan - but credit where it is due - he did some good things tonight - indeed he showed some ongoing improvement. :clap

Rance and co are showing the kind of heart and ability to be part of the next Richmond premiership if they keep improving like they are. That's why Dimma has faith in them. Supporters should be more aware of the limitations they have in watching from the outside. I'm not saying supporters shouldn't express opinions, just be aware we don't always know the roles of each player. The coaches do, and they've had faith in Rance for good reason.

If we don't know why a player gets picked, we just gotta have faith the coaches know something we don't. For the same reason, I'm sure Shane Edwards is doing something right too.

Supporters want depth players to know their limitions - well, we should know our own too.

Love Rance's competitive nature and athleticism, he'll only get better. He played well in his 1st season so it feels like he's "older" than he is. Good upside. So much of footy is about confidence and attitude, I have a lot of faith in Dimma to bring this out in our players.

Rance was fantastic tonight, really enjoyed his defensive work and his run :clap

Still has the odd moment where he looks a little lost, but I'm seeing less and less of this with each week that goes by.

He was very good tonight. He limited his risk taking out of the backline which I liked.

Really like Rance's game. Would go as far as to say that it was close to his best for the Tiges.

No way will he get suspended for that. Although I have no idea how the MRP works. Still, think it would be a joke if he was rubbed out.

AR is really starting to show some composure and a great ability to run off his man and create. When he's just that little bit more careful from the backline he makes less mistakes and is far more effective.

I am a big critic of Rance but he looked different tonight. For the first time I will put my hand up and say he played a great game. I noted only one bad handball and he generally looked more like he knew what he was doing. Ran up the ground creatively a couple of times too. Still in negative points for the season IMO but this is a step in the right direction. :clap. I hope this is the turning point.
