The M.M.P screws us 1st Cotchin against north and now Rance.
1 week at best, 3 weeks is absolutely *smile*

Don't forget Jackson always seems to cop harsher penalties than anyone else.

Didn't Waite double back into Rance anyways? He hardly trying to take Waite out and add to the fact he's a clumsy player anyways. It didn't look like there was much in it on the replay. Surely we challenge it?

He got 4 weeks, 3 if he pleads guilty.

Pretty harsh I'd say. When's Moore back?

Wow, this has stunned me a little.....then again it is the AFL Tribunal they aren't exactly consistent.
I was expecting him to get off.....at worst 2 weeks, surely they will have a crack at the appeal right?
Did Rance have a clean record before hand?

Am amazed at that assessment by the MRP Barnzy. I saw it, it was a footy contest, clumsy perhaps, but one was at the footy a split second before another, change the "second" around and it would be Waite being mentioned not Rance. Very tough assessment.

Risk the 4 and contest it - otherwise he'll only carry over points to next time and go for more then when it might be more important - plus I hope our Club doesn't take this sort crap lying down.

What of load of rubbish.

3-4 weeks for a block. What is the AFL becaming? May as well don tutu's on players however ballet has become more physical. that football. If it had been Judd that laid the block they would have rewarded him with another brownlow.

The tribunal is another more than a joke that look after their favorites

this is a typical richmond punishment if it was the richmond player knocked out it would have been no case to answer

Richmond brings out the fear doesn't it.

Lets see what happens when the MRP's golden boys do the same thing aka Veruca Salt FC (Essendon)

The same incident would get 1 week.

Just goes to show how emotions effect decisions and not reality.

This is part of the game that can be altered with no consequence.

Richmond supporters can jump up and down forever but these sort of things go through to the keeper and nothing is said.

It's BS.

MRP have done this to our club for a very long time.

Surely the AFL must see this?

That the tribunal favours some teams to others?

Cmon Andy D.

Stop hiding behind that fake personna.

exactly look at the kick in the nads mc guane got nothing from it kicking anyone in a normal life situation is low life let alone in a pro sport game

What about Rays "block" on Selwood. At the point of impact I thought he had gone past the ball.

If Rance had raised an elbow then fair enough but I didn't see anything except Waite running back without watching where he was going.

what a ridiculous penalty, we'll just have to take it though, coz we're not important enough to the afl. im really starting to hate this crap.

What a joke!............Is former Carlton player McKay still on the panel? Reeks of a pro Carltank decision?

The panel is made up of Des Gleeson ex racing chief steward, James McDonald former Melb capt and Mark Fraser ex Coll & Bummer.
They must pick the penalties out of a hat. :crazy

I'm note usually one to bleat about this type of stuff. But that is utter garbage. Is there another view of this that I haven't seen? I saw Waite turn around and run straight into Rance - Rance didn't deviate and I didn't see any swinging arms or anything like that. Outcome - 4 weeks.

On the other hand Waite is almost in close up deliberately kicking his opponent in the groin. Outcome - 0 weeks.

Plain and simple hypocrisy. The nimrods on the MRP should be sacked on this evidence alone. Of course they won't be. We'll just hang on until it all blows over.

As a member, I hope Richmond vigorously and publicly challenge the blatant bias in this decision. It was bad enough that Chris Judd played a whole game without being able to be touched, let alone tackled. But now Rance misses a month because mule-boy has the peripheral vision of Justin Koschitzke?? I don't think so.

I guess there must be another image of it other than the one that I saw replayed on the tv because I couldn't make out anything from that one. I would have to see the footage that they have before I could say if it was fair or not.

Actually I just watched the footage again on the AFL site. I must've missed it the first glance and it was hard to tell at the ground. Rance deliberately runs off his opponent who's leading into the pocket and sideways straight into Waite's path and bumps him. I thought it was an accident but doesn't look like it properly looking at it. Still it's hard to tell if there was head contact. Footage is too zoomed out to say. They're probably going off the fact that Waite went off and was a bit groggy which is sketchy without proper evidence.

4 weeks is still probably too much though, maybe 1 or 2.

It is a must we must contest.

Agree . The prospect of a further week penalty immaterial . The AFL need to get the message we’re not going to cop this lying down anymore..
