Go Rancey!! Love his signature play - the headlong dive into someone's knee. Kicked straight though!

Terrific endeavour. Even I would give hm another game next week,

If he keeps that up he will knock himself out every week
Good game by Rance tonight

Marking and reading of the play still a major concern. If you can't mark the ball as a tall player - you won't make it. Will be interested to see how the 2010 season unfolds for Rance on that basis.

Would love to proven wrong, but I don't think Rance will make it.

Even though he played "OK" and won a few kamikaze free kicks, I don't think he'll make it still.

whats everyones problem, another 97 free kicks, 62 concussions, and 15 broken noses away from kicking a ton without marking a ball.. ;D

lol. Seriously the Lunger is gonna get seriously injured if he keeps lunging like that. The coaches should pull him up and tell him that even though his endeavour is great he needs to pull back a bit. He's like a bull at a red rag, but unfortunately doesn't have it.

I thought he did very well tonight. Competed hard and applied necessary forward pressure. Was rewarded with 3 goals. His kicking for goal was very impressive. Would definitely persist with him up forward.

Great endeavor and surprisingly straight kicking. Can't rely purely on free kicks like tonight though, is going to have to mark the ball if he is going to make it in his new role.

This. ^^^

Good game by AR. Needs to play like that at a minimum every week however...long way to go for him but good tonight nonetheless in his home state.

Agree

Needs to be able to mark the ball, otherwise last night will be seen as a fluke.

No question about his effort, that's never been his problem. But pretty much everything else about his game needs work.

this game for Rance was fanastic for us because all the boys back in western australia, wouldve like what they saw from rance,
he just lifted his pick from 50 to 30,
looks awkward, dosent stand up straight, still falls over too many times, cant mark, wheres this pace? is he the fastest crawler?
must be used in a trade to try to get a ruckman to the club, do this now before he is worth nothing.
people said he played well, why? because he kicked 3 goals, all free kicks, all of them when he was flying head 1st into the contest,
no good..

Gotta change his nick from Rancealot to Kamikaze, that suicidal dive into the pack and bomb at goal strikes terror into the minds of opposition backmen.
Pleased with his energy and endeavour in our forward line, earned himself some more gametime to work on his marking and composure.

Thought he played well for his 3 goals against freo - contested well and provided some defensive pressur ein the foraward line.

If he is going to continue to kick three goals a game, I can't see how his head is going to hold up against that many knees.

We could teach him how to play.

You know, development, what the other teams do...

Is it just me, or did I see young Alex go to ground in pretty much every marking contest he participated in yesterday?

Must learn to keep his feet....amongst other things

I am really worried about young Alex making it.
Pretty much ineffectual down forward and a liability in defence.
Dropped an absolute dolly up forward yesterday, his hands aren't much chop in the air at all.

About the only thing he's got going for him is his kamikaze style.
Hard to see where he's going to fit in.

Time to cut our losses I think. Has even less positive attributes than others that we have held on to for too long.

Perhaps Vossy will be looking for a replacement for Raines come seasons end.
