Alex Rance

im sick of "showed a little today"
still cant mark, looks so slow
and falls over too much..
If he wants out at the end the season, show him the door

Cannot spoil therefore cant play back therefore cant play in team therefore wasted draft pick - I want to vomit.

The club needs to persist with Rance.

Is starting to gain some confidence.

Can someone get him to stand up straight? Always looks like he is about to fall over.

As soon as he is tackled, or takes the slightest physical contact, he drops the ball, needs to be stronger than that.

Not sure what he showed today, played on Sylvia who cut him to ribbons, can't mark overhead and is iffy with disposal (not to mention his problems spoiling). This guy will be a classic 'why didn't we trade him when we had the chance' type.

In your honest opinion, where is his best position?

If you can see it, I can see it, I would guess that Hardwick can see it too.

Rance has a lot of facets of his game that need to be improved, he is not alone.

How Cameron didnt bite Pelchens hand off when they enquired about him on trade day I will never know.
Its what this club is good at doing!! ::)
I would rather trade him for pick 100 and take a punt than keep him on our list come end of year

You're having a lend of us LBC.
Showed he can't play forward or back on todays effort, was similar against Scumwood in the practice matches.
Got a horrible feeling lambchops is dead right about this kid, why did he drift to our pick 18 again?
Rancealot has good pace for a big lad and ferocious attack on the loose ground ball, but stuff all physical presence in overhead marking contests and doesn't seem to read the incoming ball well.
Before we throw the baby out with the bathwater and totally waste a high draft pick I would like to see him spend six weeks or so at Coburg and played exclusively on a wing. He managed to find some footy against Scumwood after being insignificant at front and back KPP.
Perhaps if he is allowed to get physically involved in some crash and bash coming off the side of the square plus used as an outside link along the wing we might find some value. If not, one less clogger at seasons end.

maybe alex is a classic "solid" type footballer who has suffered from our terrible development in his first couple of years at the club. I think i would give him at least this year and maybe even next, under hardwick's player development regime before moving him on.

He has something... i can't put my finger on it... athleticism + courage is something to work with.. and i thought his disposal was ok today too. he just didn't get his hands on it enough.

I like him in the forward line. persist. many more to get rid of first.

DIsposal was good today. Has something to work with.

Should have traded to Hawthorn last year when they were keen. He aint gonna make it no brains and no skill. The end of this year will be great when we complete the transformation and the list is finally turned over and made into Hardwicks team. One way or another Simmonds Mc mahon White King Polak Edwards Hislop Thomson Cousins and Graham will all be gone !! I look forward to the revamped list
