Should have traded to Hawthorn last year when they were keen. He aint gonna make it no brains and no skill. The end of this year will be great when we complete the transformation and the list is finally turned over and made into Hardwicks team. One way or another Simmonds Mc mahon White King Polak Edwards Hislop Thomson Cousins and Graham will all be gone !! I look forward to the revamped list

pelchen at the hawks has a rep for being a hard nosed, hard arsed, good list manager. if he was interested, perhaps he's seen something in him too - reason enough for us to persist?

i agree that we do tend to hang onto too many players when they should be traded while their currency is at its highest, again.. i don't know... just have that feeling about rancey. We've got the rest of this year to see how he goes anyway. Won't do any harm to play him I reckon.

DIsposal was good today. Has something to work with.
Yep, I felt the same after the match today, surprised me with a couple of his kicks and sold the dummy on one occasion very well .

Must agree that he did surprise a couple of times and I thought good boy Alex. I am definately not a fan and he proved why a couple of minutes later when he took a slight bump and the ball spewed out - he needs to be stronger whilst holding onto the ball.

Surley has to remain at senior level to see if he can handle the pressure of AFL, great attack on the footy , however he looks along way from the star WA dashing full back

Pretty well summed up again CC.
Worries me in the air does Alex both in terms of Marking and spoiling.
For a tall player he seems more at ease playing on the smalls.
Another under the pump IMO.

His last 2 weeks have been much better but must continue to improve & will at least be given the opportunity to do so

Chuck him on one of the wings and leave him there. Looks a tall winger rather than a Backman imo.

I thought he played really well tonight, one of our best. he continually puts his boy on the line and provided a target up forward. Works hard to. Well Done!!

Great endeavor and surprisingly straight kicking. Can't rely purely on free kicks like tonight though, is going to have to mark the ball if he is going to make it in his new role.

at least he put his body in and had a real go. fwd might be for him. thought he did pretty well tonite.
but yep he needs to take some marks with his height and physique.

Agreed, bit of an improvement

Go Rancey!! Love his signature play - the headlong dive into someone's knee. Kicked straight though!

Terrific endeavour. Even I would give hm another game next week,

Has obviously taken on Nathan Foley as his mentor as he is at the bottom of every pack, but seems to have forgotten guys his size get paid for what they do in the air.
