Jack is captain of team Rampage coz of his ability to break tackles? WTF?

Word had it that Dusty was going to be one of the captain's. Now that marketing would have made sense. Rampaging bull and all that. I reckon Dusty has pulled out and Jack stepped in and they haven't been arsed changing the marketing

Starting to suspect they are just doing this for a future launch of an AFLX video game and eLeague. It's the only thing that makes any sense

Makes sense. Hadn't thought of that.

From a November Seven story

Channel 7 reported four captains — Patrick Dangerfield, Dustin Martin, Nat Fyfe and Lance Franklin — will be able to handpick their teams, poaching players from rival outfits, as if they were youngsters in the school playground.

The captains are unconfirmed at this stage but the network reported whoever has the C next to their name come February will be paid $50,000.

There are also reports one team may be comprised entirely of indigenous players.

As someone pointed out online, a game of footy goes for about the same length of time as a T20 game in cricket.
Kids love football for the most part but if they're too young to sit still for 2.5 hours & watch a game, here's an idea..DON'T BRING THEM!
I cannot stand the AFL's desire to constantly try & engage low attention spans with gimmicks. All it succeeds in doing is alienating the core supporter base.
It's like those in charge don't believe the heart of their product is good enough with all the tinkering they do to it.

Given who the four players are, they will probably just put it on the bar after the game. None of them will miss it.

Why, when the other so called teams are a mixture?

Does anyone know who this game is aimed for?

Only some young Channel 7 go-getter spiv with one,

Central nostril would be able to answer that question.

Perhaps little kids being reared by culturally depauperate middle class parents?

I dunno?

If its even slightly successful, we might as well all throw in the towell.

Players wearing super hero outfits playing contact less circle work kicking super doopers. Sounds great.
