The rugby codes have their modified rules games with reduced playing numbers on the field , ( 7s, 9s , 10s ) played in the pre season ,

Is this sort of a knee jerk response to that , where they feel like they have to try something similar

Great suggestion PT. I was only saying to someone the other day part of the problem with AFLW is that the size of the field and the lesser strength/skill of the women means it is so much harder to get the ball out and score. Women (and some men!) tee off closer in golf and play fewer sets in tennis. This is not much of a departure from this.

But the fewer players and the talent pool piece is also a great point.
Probably helps them with ground availability too Brissie. For instance, they've struggled to find suitable venues for the AFLW in Brisbane in summer with cricket being on. And there is no equivalent to the old suburban grounds used in Melbourne. This way a rugby union stadium like Ballymore could be used, that essentially gets put into moth balls during the summer normally.

And then in Sydney plenty of old rugby league heartland grounds might be a nice intimate size (similar to the suburban old VFL grounds used in the AFLW). Grounds like Cantebury's Belmore Sportsground, St.George's Kogarah Oval, Balmain's, Leichardt Oval Manly's Brookvale Oval etc would then fit the purpose. Or the underutilised Concord Oval that plays host to NSW Rugby Union's admin base as another example.

Not really for me. A bit of a 'who gives a sh!t?' cup.

However as a constructive suggestion. Is this what the format AFLW should be playing? Smaller field, but at the same time less congested. Most importantly, less players needed, so the limited talent pool can be spread more easily across teams.
Yep, you could be on to something there.

They certainly jerking something Kiwi Bro, but may not be their knees.

Are there any replays available? I can only find the highlights on the club website, which excludes the Balta goals.

Oh dear. Why is Jack getting involved with this rubbish?

Only interest I have is he doesn't get injured. Can't believe Gestapo Gill wasting money in this garbage can dream up.

They're not seriously running this again are they?

DS

We joked last year when marvel signed the docklands deal,

That players would wear superhero costumes.

And yeah, they are.

Surprised and impressed Walt gave the go ahead for Eddies Deadly all -blacks.

Surely Towner should have captained The Rampage?

Jack is captain of team Rampage coz of his ability to break tackles? WTF?
