I agree they seemed really flat and laconic. I hope it was a case of let's just get this season over and done with so we can move on to 2024.

That development role needs attention so many kids regressed this year.
It will be interesting to see Yze's approach to tagging. I reckon we seemed to let every big-name midfielder get totally off the leash.

Mansell could play the role and would love to get in their faces.
Graham I think is surplus to our needs now.

Kane Cornes made a career out of tagging , I'm not sure of his weight but was pretty light. If you were playing Mansell as an attacking midfielder where he had physically beat his man I'd agree with you but as a tagger it's more about getting from contest to contest and harassing the *smile* out of your man. I think it's more the "fight in the dog" than "the dog in the fight".
I don't really see another role for Mansell, he doesn't kick enough goals or has enough tricks to play in the forward line.
