2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

He's the pick for me. Freak athlete, even at AFL level. I don't see the other bloke being any better or different to Bauer.
Yeah worth a punt. Imagine him hunting bodies in the forward line, defensively we need that. And would be a match up nightmare.

Point of difference. And I'd throw him in early. More VFL footy won't help him.

He will play AFL not VFL.

Training Today Friday:

I'll be very brief, I have other things on.

Pretty sloppy session I thought.

First time match sim, 20 minutes only, Kane Mcauliffe, (not far off body size of Hopper & Tarranto), a revelation in the centre clearances, definitely looks a player.
Jack Graham back to peak fitness and was a standout.
Sonsie classy with some good linkage.
Balta FWD.

Bakes was not there and Kamdyn not with group either.

Injury Watches:

Dusty did warm up, came over to rehab, tried again and then left the track.
Cumberland only walked a couple of laps.
Bauer for the 3rd session in a row in rehab doing very little.
Prestia did very little, (maybe my comment the other day jinxed.

Others still in rehab or did not do the matchplay:

Gibcus
Young
Shorty
Coulthard
Ross
Juddy
JNR

Got to go sorry.

He absolutely would be a tough matchup. 195cm but fast and plays small, do you match up with a small (180-185) who could be exposed by height and weight, or go with a tall and potentially be exposed by speed.

If it comes off, it could be an awesome impact to our forward line.

AFL at it again… 20 minutes is ridiculous. And we all know who they’ll be coming for after every game…

Here is my list of replies to forced media interviews. Yes, no, missed that, don't care, didn't see it, good, bad, no difference. Given that the vast majority of questions put to a player will be closed, these answers will take care of nearly all of them.

I can’t believe how the media carry on about all this extra insight they get from the miked up players. It’s a lot of shouted, garbled comments that add absolutely nothing to the coverage. The players should start swearing when they’re miked up, that would put a stop to it.

They talk to players before the game, as they're walking off at quarter time, half time etc, followed immediately by a Sportsbet commercial:mad:. The media haven't got anything to complain about, they've never had it so good.

11 players in rehab ( 12 if you include Lynch ) doesn’t fill me with excitement.
We need some overdue luck with injuries as our depth is very thin.

only 4 on the injury list wednesday though so maybe there is just some management of players going on, or possibly niggles, nothing too serious

Clubs should just refuse. Some players are not comfortable in this situation and should not be forced into it. But it does absolutely nothing to enhance the product, which is the football matches themselves. I expect we are going to see some very reluctant interviews with players at times giving very limited responses to stupid questions.
I imagine the players or clubs who refuse to talk to the press, will be fined. Get ready for another *smile* fight. Poor Dusty, the more he doesn’t want to be interviewed, the more they will hassle him.
