Its amplified by everyone no longer giving a shitt about Cricket anymore, and the international breaks in the major soccer leagues.

Cricket is largely meaningless. Handful of countries, half of them minnows. Rubbish games infinitum, rubbish forms eg T20. The only cricket I find meaningful personally, is test cricket against India, SA and England. And that’s about it.

We now have our soccer teams playing on a truly global stage, basketballers playing in the best comp in the world, F1 drivers racing against the best from all over the world, golfers playing in the majors against the best in the entire world….and so on.

Cricket’s been overtaken by the globalisation of a bunch of other sports.

Having said that his last 4 games in VFL produced 64 disposals and 39 tackles .

He had 22 clearances over the last 4 games as well. High impact player when he went into the middle at VFL level! He’s certainly a unique prospect. Probably a question mark over his skills as well, but can’t fault his athleticism. Whether all that translates to AFL level is another question

Lefau, I dare say would be viewed as a big bodied small forward , play in f50 to apply the heat with his 10 tackles a game . I worry that he hasnt the ability to step up to afl , I could be wrong . Scho appears similar size to Bauer . Love to see how he goes in match sim

Isn’t he 195cms? Far from a small forward at that height.

I love cricket but I agree with this Redders, my interest is largely confined to tests against India, SA and England

My only caveat is I loved the WC final

And also I'd love to see someone bankroll the scouting, development and triumphant return of the mighty West Indies (will never happen alas)

Cricket has been overtaken by the greed of player managers, the stupidity of the players that believe they are more important than the game, and some horrible Cricket Australia administrations in recent times. Failing to find an alternative to overgrasping populism that is another term for greed!

Then there was Tennis!
Golf raised it's head for a while, same with Soccer.
Horse racing caught our attention for a while.
Swimming went under then re-surfaced!
Rugby Union, sick as!
Only the Cricket Tests matter agin the Poms. The Indians may be next! NZ was interesting.
RL, State of Origin, NSW versus QLD. The pinnacle of world sport!
AFL, the goose. that layed too many golden eggs!

He’s what I call a disruptor. Not the most skillful but causes chaos amongst the opposition. He doesn’t play like other players. Super quick. Hits hard. Tough to match up on. George Castagna was a bit of disruptor too. Mykelti is a bigger and stronger version of George. About the same kicking skills lol.

Even SA no longer care for Test Cricket. The BBL was a novelty that IMO they rammed down our throats & has long ago worn off. training reports are now the highlight of the summer

Russian women's slap league and car jui jitsu keeps me going between seasons.

Going off topic slightly who do you all think is the better player, Lefau or Mutaz El Nour. I didn’t watch too many VFL games but from what I saw Mutaz showed a lot more than Lefau. What are the deficiencies or skill sets that you think makes one better than the other. Why did our recruiting department lean towards Lefau ?
