2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

I reckon clark is well aware of the vic private school premium @tigersnake and I bang on about.

and he doesn't pay overs.

bit of draft moneyball

doesn't exclude Vic kids, just means we get the unfashionable ones.

and we compete with 2 clubs each in other states, rather than 10.

the bias is real: 2023 champs Allies demolished all comers;

at the draft: 15 VC, 16 VM, 9 Allies (including 5 academy kids, so 4 allies drafted on the open market, a quarter of either vastly inferior vic side)

its proximity - more blokes in north pace puffers watch Vic kids.

Clarke knows this and invests in people on the ground beyond Melbourne

I'd love to see all clubs list breakdown on public V private schooling, controlled for scholarships at year 10
Hence why Clark would be a huge loss if he goes.

I agree particularly with your last comment. It was his speed at the ball and the man, that impressed me most.

If Lynch is fit to return for the Carlton game it may be that a selection of Koschitzke for the GC game would be seen as short sighted as he would likely have to make way for Lynch, after only one week.

Hard to see ML playing game 0 but maybe that is the way it will turn.
I reckon we are playing funny buggers with Lynch. I dont think we will see him till round 3-4

Why’s that? That’s still 5 and a half weeks away, and he’s rejoined main training, maybe not for the whole session but he’s still doing some drills by all reports

Ah yes, I think so. Just looked it up and we got the same compensation for him as we did for Brandon Ellis, and Chol. Geez they stiffed us big time with the Ellis compo. Guess it evens out after the bargain we got for Vickery, and subsequent draft selection #shai😍😍
I still laugh at the all conquering Dawks getting Vickery then paying him $500k to play at Box Hill. Mind you, after seeing Chol with his non 2nd efforts they'll be begging Ty to come back

GC's *smile* differential this year will tell us all that we need to know.

You already know how the media will paint it.

Dimma hasn't had to dip into that old bag of tricks, because he has a much better set of players at the GC.

Yep, he’s already marveling at them… we better prepare ourselves for 6 straight Gold Coast flags

“Speaking to AFL.com.au just weeks before coaching his first game, Hardwick says Gold Coast is further advanced than he expected.

"I've never seen a side eat up work like these guys have," he said.

"God, they can just run, and I've got to utilise that strength.

"They're just sponges. They love learning.

"I wasn't quite sure where we'd be with our gameplan implementation, but I've been really pleased with how far we've progressed so quickly

Aren’t they just fantastic. Oh and he says this too…

Asked whether he still believed there was 80 per cent of a premiership list at his disposal, Hardwick was clear.

"I nearly think I've got 100 per cent of it to be fair," he said.

Just like the 5 that GWS were going to win starting in 2017.

Clearly round 0 will be the Grand Final preview.

Should put this article up on a wall that all players have to walk past multiple times a day!

He sold the big picture. Gold Coast bought it. He will be paid out whether he wins or not.

I know this will go against the grain but Dimma is correct and has the team to win a flag

There is just so much talent at his disposal its not funny

Might not be in 2024 but he has got a list we would only dream about

But can he hold onto them is the question

GWS has had a heap of talent for years and they’ve never won a flag. The Suns haven’t even finished above 12th in their entire history. They may have a talented list now, and have been chocka block full of high end picks for years. The 4 first round academy picks last year will help them but they’ll take a few years, by which stage Collins and Witts will be gone, two of their most important players. They may well win a flag in Dimma’s time but I still have the Giants (and others) way ahead of them
