2024 Training With The Ooze Crew

I’m assuming the first scratch match/sim/whatever in 2017 wasn’t of a great standard.
And there probably wasn’t as much interest in watching it then either
We’ll be right

Glad you asked. Yze had Banks (or Banger as they call him) playing on Kaps. So Banks was moved up a bit. Yze was watching closely. On the other side, Pickett and Ross got a fair run at it.
Thanks mate. I wasn’t sure as I heard Banks was pushing forward a fair bit . I thought maybe he started at half forward.

Not sure desperation is the right term. Lots of clubs need to find types of player in the pre season and trade for them.
Blair Hartley doesn’t strike me as someone who works in a state of desperation.

We needed another tall and we targeted one who has shown some ability to play at AFL level in the past. He has also been coached by Yze and Newman before and if they thought he was a dud you would suspect they would have said so.

I am not saying he will be successful, he may or may not be. All I am saying is sometimes players thrive at new clubs and saying a player is no good just because he is let go cheap or delisted is not always the right analysis. I like to use the example of Peter Wright for big guys, kicked 50 goals in a season at Essendon and was traded for a bag of chips by the suns.
Peter Wright wouldve been worth a top 20 pick but the cash was the issue he was on 700+ at Gc.
That's why there weren't clubs lining up for him.
I saw Wright rip games apart for GC, he wasn't shiit.

Just watching the replay half way through and the best thing I've seen is Fawcett's burst of speed through the middle around 26:40mins. Got some toe has the big man.

Who was the left-footer at half-back in red who took the juggling mark going back with the flight in the first? VFL top-up? Had his right shoulder strapped by the look.

Yeh I noticed him a few times, did some nice things!

He played 24 games in an ordinary suns team in his last 3 years including zero in his last year 2020. He kicked 26 goals in that period.
The shine of 2 metre Peter was well and truly off his career then.

Geez Hopper looks in great shape… hope he can stay fit.
On the contrary to Hoppers impressive showing is Hugo entering his 5th season and still lmeh ................................. still reaches one handed for the ball, doesn't put his body in and has no impact.... not even in an intra club match................

Nice day at Punt Road today & had the honour of watching with PREs finest training spotter.
Dow, Naismith, Hopper & Trezise the biggest positives. McAuliffe, Miller & Green ok too. Gibcus got through so there’s that. One nice passage.
Dion the downer.
Wanted to see more from a few others that’s for sure. Early days but yeah..
