2024 Richmond Coach

Interesting that we initially approached candidates. I originally thought that the job was advertised and then potential candidates applied.

Beat me Smoking.

Down to 5.

Gia
Yze
Mini
Newman
Clarke is the interesting one!
I just checked to see how many indigenous coaches had made it in the AFL, only Barry Cable 30 years ago. Mark Williams was not aboriginal which was interesting, he came from a Carribean background.

I like the fact that Newman has been waiting for the Richmond Coaching job, Reckon he wants it more then any of the others, and just loves the club.

Just make it happen and appoint him!

Now we know Mini has the job and has had since 2016, we should probably be turning our attention to the next appointment.
Our senior coach for 2032. Will it be Jack? or Grigg? Lambert maybe? Joel Selwood?
Whoever it is we need to make sure the succession contract is watertight.
Jack and Trent retired this year to allow them time to prepare to lead the club in 2032. Dinner was had with both of them and Balmey last month. Instead of being tapped on the shoulder this was the agreement. Dimma will pick one of them up as an assistant and Kingsley agreed to pick up the other.

Watch this space.

Haha flat earther.
