Chris Newman officially declares interest in Richmond coaching job - 3AW is Football
While he remained tight-lipped about the "process" at the Tigers, Newman said it was "no secret" he had put himself in the running to coach the club he played 268 games for.

As others noted it will be a tough road ahead for a young first time coach but I think we’ve shown we aren’t the kind of club to s**t the bed and sack coaches.

Speaks well does Newman, hoping he gets the role. Hard to know whether interviews have taken place yet, seems odd the club would wait so long to interview, but I guess the club has time to make a decision there is no need to rush.
Very cagey response from Newy when asked about the process. Wasn't sure whether he already has the job (that was the overwhelming feeling I had), was waiting to be interviewed or had no idea what the process was.
He was at the game on Saturday, so one can only conclude he is off to the Gold Coast with Hardwick. And Dusty. And Jack.

I forgot Lade coached at RFC under Dimma. Left in 2016. Then success came.
Just gotta love Richo. He wore his heart on his sleeve as a player and as he has gotten older so his sleeves have gotten longer
Maybe if Newman gets the gig he can bring Richo in as our goal kicking coach!
