Some more football porn from Mick Jagga on the weekend.

Warning: His involvements yet again are as long as a short movie.

The thing about his highlights are, it's like that in literally every game. He's everywhere.

The closest thing to Nick Daicos in this draft. His lateral movement is elite. Spins on a dime. Worst case he becomes a Zak Butters.

agree.

he can't kick as good as Daicos (who can?),

but his mum will use ten times the washing powder

I get the FOMO at play with FOS and lalor, I want them too.

I really do get it, and im not criticising their fans, cause I am one.

but objectively, if you had to draft a CEO, its like wanting Simon Lethlean or Simon Matthews, over Benny Gale.

Yes, Lethlean could have kicked the Auskick girl habit, and could administrate you to 4 flags.

Im disregarding potential, im talking body of work. Existing CV's.

Only Ashcroft compares, and Jagga is heaps better than him.

100% Ezy. Daicos is a freak. I am not saying Jagga is Daicos but his movement and ability to be involved in the same ball chain is very similar.

Just knows where to find the gaps and put a team mate into the right spots. Actually very Shane Edwards like.

Would you take peak Shane Edwards at Pick 1?? Absolutely.

Got to admit, the change in jaggas game is impressive, the kid learns quickly and is absolutely leadership material.
It's going to be hard when fos get called at number 1,but definitely he's got more ceiling imagine a afl shaped fully fit fos, who is such a good mark and would bd deadly with his pace, agility, kicking,as a forward.

Yes his kicking isn't s strength, but its not a weakness either. Can't do the long, low 50m passes like Dusty or Daicos, but not many otherwise complete players can, it isn't much of a knock. 40, even 45, he's fine.

There was a couple of times in that clip that he gets the ball and the opposition clearly expect him to go one way and he steps and goes the other. You can't teach that.

FWIW, I think we'd have Jagga almost locked in at 1,

but I think we desperately want, and will get FOS also.

2004 - 5 picks in the top 20. How good is that?

>> 2016 Lids was a pretty good player til he got injured I guess.

2021 - 5 picks in the top 30. This is unreal!

>> 2024 Are any of them going to make it?

I love a good honeymoon period. Hopefully this time we find a player or two.
Essendon had 3 in the top 10 recently: Cox, Reid and Perkins.

I do love how he's always on the move at stoppages. Really reads the ball well off the hands & a good decision maker.
His lack size does worry me a bit.

ive used the Kelpie simile before. it got a good reception.

I had a kelpie who was obsessed with stubby caps. kelpies are very obsessive animals.

anyway, my kelpie was highly attuned to how much was left in your stubby, the fridge opening, and the fsssssssssstttttttttt when you opened one.

she didn't take her eyes off the golden cap from the moment it was in play, until she had it in her mouth.

jagga does that with a footy.

ive actually never seen anything like it.

I reckon he will set a new AFL record for clearances,

and then break it several times.

I reckon we will all storm on to The G and stop play

for his 2000th clearance

Great write up on Lalor who hasn’t turned 18 yet
We definitely need someone a tough mid that can break tackles get the ball out be dangerous when resting forward

I sure hope you're right eZy & you've clearly seen a lot more of him than me.
Was good to see him rack up big numbers against men in the VFL too which allays some concerns there & you'd think he'll only get stronger from here over multiple AFL preseasons. I do like that movement around stoppage..

1 min mark of the latest clip leysy posted.

he marks and kicks from 49m, and it clears the ruckman at full stretch on the goal line.

without a GPS ball and an independent scientific panel of experts,

you can't get much more definitive that he can kick it straight over 50m?
