2024 Draft Thread

As you'd expect...

"The Tigers’ general manager of football talent, Blair Hartley, was at Shepparton’s Deakin Reserve on Saturday to watch Larke medallist Harvey Langford amass 26 disposals and 10 score involvements in a 57-point Dandenong Stingrays win over Murray Bushrangers."

And...wait for it....FOS playing for us in the VFL this week with Jags.

Reckon he was there to watch Berry just as much as Langford.

Can't wait to see Vontae play the first of 300 in yellow and black!

He's a lovely kick and obviously a smart footballer who wants the "moment".

But doesn't look a key forward at AFL level to Leysy.

He struggles to get elevation and also reckon lacks a little athleticism/agility. Shapes as more a Jack Gunston type - it's a difficult position.

All opinions, but think there are better talls for us to draft.
Would you take Jye Amiss?

Armstrong in combination with Sims or Faull gives Amiss/Treacy vobes.

Great news on FOS playing for the VFL. We will get to have an up close look at both him and Jagga. We need as much data as possible to get this number 1 pick right.

Can we create merch? It feels like a number-one pick contender title match.

The bout to knock the other guy out.

It could be the opposite. They could be trialling how well they play together.

Yeah Amiss is a good result/comparison.

But for an early pick - How much risk is there he ends up more like Sam Weideman?

Personally, think we should be prioritising getting someone to replace Lynch - i.e. that can play No 1 forward and take down the opposition's best defender. Not sure Armstrong will be that, given he looks to have some physical limitations.

It's not just on-field we get to view them. Valuable we get an first hand view how they conduct themselves and integrate into the team/players.

Rapt it looks like Jagga finally might get to run on top of the ground after hirst two runs in this company were on a Heavy 8 and a Slow 7.

We get those dancing feet in action!!

Be a fascinating watch.
Would prefer to see them go head to head against each other.
