Great post. The Chaos plan is at the core at all top four clubs but the difference is clubs have enough class with kicking and pace for it not to be their only plan. At the moment we don't. And we don't have enough raw pace in the forward half, MRJ is crucial and a 50/50 chance to make it. We need to find a Bedford or Bobby Hill from another club. Some observations from yesterdays great game minus that shocking advantage call.
- Collingwood are the most Richmond like side since, well, Richmond. Not sure Yze should be moving us too far away from what obviously works in the modern game. Chaos will nearly always beat control in the heat of finals.
- Those having a dig at Frampton are missing the point. In a 23 person side, not everyone needs to be an A-grader. Sometimes you just need a player that can do a job and Frampton did his job well.
- Speed kills. Collingwood’s pace and run was too much for Brisbane. We need to inject some pace back into our side if we are to contend again. In fact, I’d prioritize pace and running ability over footskills.
- Brisbane are wasting their window and are running time.
