Peter Frampton had never played a final before yesterday. Now he's a premiership player. Wish I could feel like he does.
99% said the winner of the Melbourne Collingwood final will end up premiers.
How stupid is Melbourne not chasing a real forward instead of a ruckman.

They said about our flags that we had no opposition, this year was incredibly weak. Top 4 teams Port and Melbourne straight setting, St Kilda were a bye for whoever got them and Swans shouldn't have been there.
In London and only listened to the last 5 minutes. Not crazy about either team, Brisbane has an only d**kheads policy and I don't like Collingwood (hated them back in the day, but its not the same any more, the hatred in the 70s was real, all a bit confected these days).
Anyway, Collingwood won . . . meh.
Just looking at the stats and hearing a bit of the commentary it certainly sounds like a well deserved win. Such a big advantage in inside 50s, they clearly were the better team on the day.
If Brissie had won it would have been a heist, then again, I saw the replay of that advantage decision and it was truly atrocious, in other words, par for the course from the umpires, they really are useless at their job.
Roll on 2024, back next week and the winner of the GF tends to be news for all of 48 hours so should be done by the time I am back.

Lions can get f***ed. You had one job you c***s. Flat-track bullies that beat up on sides at the Gabba then completely s*** themselves on the big stage. Hope they don't get back to another GF.
There's little doubt the Lions *smile* the bed. Fagan is the biggest fail.
That said despite being a patched up jalopy, the one thing Fly has instilled in that team is genuine heart. In all their games when they looked like they were cooked, they refuse to lie down & keep coming. Despite being the enemy I begrudgingly applaud them.
Collingwood get an A for effort. As we have seen with 2017, effort can take you all the way to the flag even when the makeup of your team doesn't contain many stars as opposed to Brisvega$'s showponies.
Their flag is well deserved.

They were a man down when he was om the ground. Lyons did more as sub in 20 mins then him.

The art of beating Collingwood is to kick over there 1st line in the backline.

Some observations from yesterdays great game minus that shocking advantage call.
- Collingwood are the most Richmond like side since, well, Richmond. Not sure Yze should be moving us too far away from what obviously works in the modern game. Chaos will nearly always beat control in the heat of finals.
- Those having a dig at Frampton are missing the point. In a 23 person side, not everyone needs to be an A-grader. Sometimes you just need a player that can do a job and Frampton did his job well.
- Speed kills. Collingwood’s pace and run was too much for Brisbane. We need to inject some pace back into our side if we are to contend again. In fact, I’d prioritize pace and running ability over footskills.
- Brisbane are wasting their window and are running time.

We made a fateful error in 2021 not chasing Tom Mitchell.
We were very keen then pulled out.
If we had him alongside Prestia in 2022 we wouldve gone close to winning it again.
I was massive on bringing him over.
Blokes like him get the ball 30 times without any issue. He was and always fit as fiddle and his last qtr showed why we shouldve chased him.

Has any player ever been delisted right after playing in a grand final win before? Billy Frampton has got to be a chance..
That advantage call was a prime example of umpires not having any feel for the game and increasing it to 4 umpires has made it worse.
Id trade him.
Hes a 2 touch player.
McInerney is a warrior, but they need to upgrade him to take the next step, which is clearly a very small one.
Id put Hipwood on the table and gauge his value too. Youde think Dees and Pies could bid each other up?
