Twomey stating Freo are willing to deal. this is the point I'd be going hard for Johnson or Sonsie. If we were to walk away with one or both then this haul gets an A - one key defender, one back flanker, one tall mid & one medium mid. All players with A grade upside.

The only two players I'd trade for would be Johnson & Sonsie, preferably both but that seems unlikely. Failing that I'd just scoop up the remaining players out of Taylor, Howes, Butler & Goater.
I’d only trade picks for Johnson or a future 1st

So many good players on the table.
I feel like I’m at the Swagman again. Don’t know what to pick first.

Every chance Sonz is on the board at our next pick. Hawks the only real threat. They could easily go Butler and Howes with their next 2.

This would be perfect. Interesting that they only linked the Sonz with the Hawks and us. We must be keeping a bit of a lid on who we are after, that AFL article linkes all other teams with players, but we have 3 of the next 10 and they only linked us to the Sonz (and a bid on Owens which we know will be matched).

It's a pretty simple equation for me, there's a bloke I have ranked at 5 who is sitting there so the Kangas pick is on the table, I push heaven & earth to get him. If it goes through then I'm very confident I have my 3 core players & can then throw a bit of caution to the wind with guys like Goater or Taylor down the list. This draft is still delicately poised, it has the hallmarks of greatness provided we close out the deal with some classy midfielders.

Unless something creative gets designed, think we’re too far back in the order tonight to get anything done with Freo. If you look at the Port-Eagles exchange last night the Eagles only dropped back 2 spots. That’s the sort of drop range clubs seem comfortable with. 2-4. I think 7 will be a bit too far for Freo.

I think we’re gonna get stifled for the third time running this off season where trading picks is concerned although we might have other plans anyway.
Yep, and with Norf picking up two 30s picks last night Ii doubt they'll be interested in trading with us, nor will Hawthorn or Geelong, and why would Carlton move their only pick. I don't think we're moving up at all, and I have a horrible feeling that Butler, Sonsie, Howes and Goater will all be gone by our picks.

Bubkus has a huge leap and hits the ball at the highest point. McNaughton is the closest comparison.
Reminds of of Jeremy Howe at the same age but Gibcus seems to have a quicker 1st and 2nd step on him and more mobile

I'm a bit flat so far. Gibcus wasn't my preference but can accept him as the best KPD in the draft. Brown worries me. He doesn't scream first rounder to me.

Seems like we are only going with two more picks. If so, I would be trading out 29 and 30 to get 21. Use that to take Johnson and then one of Sonsie, Butler, Knevitt or Sheldrick should be available at 27.

Assume we won't go Bazzo having got Gibcus.

Sheldrick was picked up by Sydney

Bolters will happen. I'm extremely confident that some strange names are going to get called in the 20's. I'd still try and move up to grab one of Sonsie or Johnson. We passed on Johnson twice, so I'm pretty confident that we would pass again. He's not a Richmond man for whatever reason. We don't value his skill set. I think that's pretty clear. The fact that he has slid so far, tells me that something isn't right with him.

But Arthur Sonsie-relle? Go get him. We were linked to Rachelle so we clearly think that we need some more small spark forward of center.
