As an opening gambit I think flying with the KPD first was as viable as any strategy, the other options were to grab JVR in the second or grab Dean with our last pick, I think this decision will hold up well in 5 years time. Pick 9 isn't the problem for me, pick 17 might cause a little anxiety seeing as though we've gone for a flanker, particularly if we lose access to Johnson, Sonsie, Butler, Goater & Howes.
