Cops are trying to scramble their way out now - how often would they go on the news and list all the drugs found in the car before the case has even got to court. In fact, why list them when he is not charged with anything to do with them.

I've worked in a drug rehabilitation field as well as casually used various drugs without physical or mental addiction for years.

Bit of a conflict of interest there don't you think.

Pretty simple JB. There were some things obviously found in the car, but three people in a car and no one obviously knows anything about them. They can't prove ownership so no one gets charged.

There is a rumour going around that Chick was actually the main target of Police and not Cousins.

Many people have abuse problems and many more know career criminals. The first issue is much more of a problem for Cousins but that situation is not irreversable. But for you to suggest it really doesn't matter because he is 29 and his career is over undervalues life and misunderstands the nature of addiction.

Just because you and yours are made of stronger stuff doesn't mean anyone should feel entitled to make fun of his situation.

I have known quite a few drug addicts over the years and there is no way possible that the lifestyle they lead would allow them to be fit enough to play Australian rules football at any level, let alone AFL. Ben Cousins is not a drug addict yet, he is a party boy that is mixing with the wrong crowd. This situation with Ben is far from unfixable.

damien have you been living in siberia this year. ben has admitted to a substance problem and has spent time in rehab. he is an addict and has admitted this, just because you know a couple of addicts doesn't mean you can exonerate him from 4000 kms away from observations made through the media!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree. He can get better and the best news for me in regards to this issue is to hear that he is drug free and fit.

He was only found with anti-depresents which he was prescribed to by doctors.

Sorry to hear that you and the Commission aren't interested in letting me nominate for the draft.

Just a short note to let you know what's going on in my life. My doctor says that I have a short attention.........oooh seagull................span and can only concentrate on one thing at a time. At this stage I've narrowed it down to two things, either a preseason with the mighty Tigers or taking the WA Police/WCE/AFL to court. Your advice would be invaluable.

If the drug in question is diazepan it's a depressant. Not an anti.

A muscle relaxant. Anti anxiety or stress. Helps you sleep. Helps you come down from exciting drugs.

Has anyone actually considered that Ben's pretty happy it's all over and he can just go out and party now to his heart's content?

I mean the guy's 29yrs old & with the amount of 30 yr old retirements out there he was probably looking at the finish line anyway after the Weagles won their premiership.

It would have been a tragedy in his prime but he's pretty much done it all anyway.
