Re: Cousins Story Sold to Nine

I will need to more carefull about believing anything on bigfooty

Obviously this is crap and has not eventuated

Re: Cousins Story Sold to Nine

His apology was laughable. Why! Because he genuinely lacked remorse, even smirking at times...to read from an auto cue just shows he didn't speak from the heart if he did perhaps the footy world would have had maybe a smidgen of sympathy.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

Better bump this back up.

Watch Channel 9 news.

Re: Ben Cousins in trouble again

This was supposed to be the big Channel 9 "EXCLUSIVE" that rocked the footy world.

Instead Demertriou said he and Adrian Andreson met with Cuzzy and his dad today and said he needs more medical treatment.

I hate Channel 9, always make me look so foolish

Is there some massive Craig Hutchison story coming up this week? I saw it mooted somewhere but haven't heard anything else.

Channel 9 ran 2 days of ad's apparently with the biggest football story ever, even bigger then any event including the fall of the berlin wall ::)

And what is the story, some manufactured crap that the cheif QC in Victoria rkns the AFL is soft on drugs

Geez channel 9 are desperate for ratings, going to these pathetic lenghts to drag viewers in.

They certainly built it up to be some kind of exclusive when in reality it had no substance at all. Must have been struggling for footy news and desperate to con an audience into hanging around.

A bloke with an admitted/acknowledged addiction is not found by the AFL's 'most stringent' drug policy. Almost laughable in isolation. That said player has rehab paid for by club and/or AFL even more laughable.

Returns against all evidence and advice that addiction could not have been overcome in such a short time.

No wonder the Eagles do what they want, the AFL pander to it.

Cousins had 14 drug tests and passed them all, so he hadn't taken any drugs in the 48 hours previous to the drug tests, which says a lot more about Ben Cousins drug addiction, or lack of a drug addiction, than it says about the AFLs drug testing policies.

So what do you call a bloke who can go more than 48 hours without taking drugs?? Not a drug addict in my language.

The AFL and West Coast have chosen to label him an addict so they can medicalise the problem and book him into rehab, rather than the alternative, which was to call him a cheat and a man of weak character who was unable to control his impulses to take illegal drugs.

You reckon Terry is a spin doctor, he has got nothing on the AFL and West Coast on this issue!

actually agree with this.

You can absolutely take speed, E's etc casually Disco.

& that dont make you no addict.

To Leysys way of thinkin, Ben loves a party, Loves the ladies & Loves bein a lil' High.

doesnt necessarily make him no addict though.

The weakness in your argument IMO, Linus, is that it assumes that there are no masking agents involved. I believe that there may be (although not necessarily in only Cousin's case) but I have no evidence to that effect ATM.

But it's an interesting take. And maybe you're right on the money.

If anybody has any information they'd like to share on masking agents I'd be grateful if they'd PM me. Or post if the material is within the guidelines.

I'm doing some research on the matter. Obviously, this is a general question and does not pertain directly to Ben Cousins.

Hasn't he admitted to using ice?
I've never seen an admission published, Disco.

No admission Roachie,

You'd think he has at some stage though.

Though Cocaine would easily be the most wide-spread drug of choice of most players.
