Disagree guys....two years at the club does not gift him a game.

Farewell lap prior to match but if he is not fit he must not play.

I would hope our club is more professional than to give a player a token game for crowd support.

Hell, they can pick me for a debut match and I will invite all my friends to make up a crowd (ok, ok 3 people is not a crowd). ;D

risk him for what? he's never playing again. even if he yanks the thing off the bone, it ain't gunna matter

we win, we finish 15th

we lose, we finish 15th

what exactly are we risking?

Agree.

Time to order a 44 gallon drum of magic spray. They should install some sort of electronic device down the back of shorts that sprays a constant mist across his hammy for the entire game.

Play him next week just so we can close this chapter down and move on with our rebuild.

Clearly personal accolades are the most important thing to you. Go and follow tennis then. In a team sport we shouldn't be making stupid decisions by playing badly injured players to ensure Reiwoltd wins the Coleman medal. Your thought process is ridiculous. If Cousins is fit he will play, if he isn't he won't. What's the point? There is none.

He admitted himself he thought it was gone, but in the rooms he still had all the strength in it as normal so it may be ok. Pretty standard treatment to be icing it regardless of if it had torn or even if it was just cramping/tightness as hoped. It's precautionary, hardly the final judgement on him playing.

Can't remember saying it was the final judgement. Just said when you put all things together it doesn't look promising. Is it usual be cramping in your hammy by the way? When fatigue sets in, there are usually other muscles that cramp up well before a hammy.

Normally I'd agree and would prefer the game's experience go to a younger player.
However Cuz's many fans will want to give Benny a send off & that means plenty of ca$h to the club.
Magic spray away Tiges!

Been reported in the Sun that Cuz is on the shortlist to host the Australian version of the Amazing Race on Channel 7.

Typo maybe, think he's up for another programme co-starring with Newton Jnr - Amazing Disgrace :-X

Maybe this is not a good week to suggest to Ben to Ice it up, he might just do it :-X 8)

Channel 10, Cuz's Hammy has minor damage, cuz said back related, still a chance with the 8 day break

"Scans performed on Ben Cousins’ hamstring earlier today revealed no significant damage."

Sounds promising, really hope he gets up for 1 last game.

The club's just posted on facebook that there's no significant damage and that they are hopeful that he will play on Sunday

Daniel Jackson is the latest to speak volumes about Cousins. Half time interview with Jacko:

"Having him hasn't just helped us over the last 2 years, but will help us for the next TEN years".

;)

Obviously Dan is drawing on the precedent of the Weagles being rock bottom just 3 years after Ben left the building.

;) indeed.

Thats a very spitefull comment, Rosie. Why do you have it in for Ben? Every player, coach, offical and hanger on have said how wonderfull he has been. You seem to have a real set agianst him. What did he ever do too u?

Not spiteful at all. I love Daniel Jackson. He is very articulate and a great representive of our club. I don't think he'd have a clue how much influence a player would have on our team in 10 years time just the same. I wonder how many years Richo's influence will manifest on the field? How many years would Cogs' efforts, how much he put in to get himself right, giving his all on the ground and his training ethic etc influence our players? How do you predict a time a time frame for something like that before it even happens?

I geuss that predicting ten years is hard but i meant why do have so many digs at Ben? Right from day 1 you have made snide comments about him and even now you still stick the knifes in.

Cotchin and Martin etc. are going to be 10 year players for the club so i think that`s what Jacko means, the lessons that Cuz has taught them will benefit the club for the duration of their careers.

And the players never raved about Richo or Cog`s teaching them.

Geez Rosy......it's obvious Dan meant it as 'generally speaking'.

Funny how a majority of players (& coaches) this season have stated publicly on how positive Cuz's influence has been and yet you continue to see it in a negative way.

How do you compare Richo / Cogs with what Cuz experienced in football success anyway?

He said the longer Ben is around the club, the better. Has helped him personally enormously because Jacko himself tags guys like Cuz. Said Benny really brings a team attitude to the club and is constantly willing to share knowledge with the young guys... is also a funny personality to have around the club which creates a good mood in the rooms.

I'm a fan of Jacko, and now even he's going on and on about what an impact Ben has had. He sounded disappointed he's at the club for "only two years", but that's still enough to have a lasting impact for 10 years.

So, according to Daniel Jackson, Ben Cousins' influence on the club will last a total of 12 years.

;)

the club should ask Ben to be on the coaching team next year if everything said about his input is correct.
