Reckon its all over unfortunately.
We never actually saw it go, he was just walking around and almost standing still in the middle of the ground. Not like it went twang when over extending mid stride or bending over to pick up the ball.

It'll be Hardwick's decision. I reckon if he can walk, Cuz will say he's right to play. I think Dimma and the medicos will put him through a pretty tough fitness test and emotion will not enter their decision making.

I tend to think they'll be doing everything possible to get him over the line.

It would probably mean an extra 5000 through the gates if Ben plays so they'll be thinking $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

More the lift it will give the playing group who want to send him off with a win.

No it didn't go twang, if it did, it's automatically 4-6 weeks, and there would be no conjecture whatsoever about him playing next week. But he did have it heavily iced and he did go down to the rooms when it happened. I'd be very surprised if he gets up for the next match. Hope he does though, as there will be a nice crowd.

Who cares just leave him in the pocket to block for and rove Jack.

Hall needs to kick at least 6 on Saturday night against the Bummers which unfortunately could happen.

At least we'll know how many Jack needs to kick on Sunday to win the medal.

For a moment there I thought you were serious.

About what?

About playing Cousins injured and hobbling around in the forward line to ensure Reiwoldt wins the Coleman medal. Rest easy TF, Reiwoldt will kick at least 1 goal which means Hall will need 8 to win the Coleman outright and he hasnt kicked a haul of 8 this season. We dont need to risk injured players to shallowly try and win Reiwoldt the Coleman medal.

It's a lower risk to virtually stand around in the forward pocket than to run around the ground as a midfielder. Plus it's his last game so who cares if the injury gets worse.

As for Hall, don't forget it's the Bummers their playing. Could be a huge bag for Barry next week.

I had similar thoughts ( not the helping Jack bit though) in if he's nearly fit enough to play then maybe he should play the 2nd half only as a forward pocket. Doubt if the RFC would accept that though.

Well he's never kicked more than 7 in a game in his career, so Reiwoldt would have to kick none (once this year) and Hall equal his highest tally to win. Regardless, if Cousins is injured, they wont be risking him to ensure Reiwoldt wins the Coleman. Luckily from what I've seen Hardwick is not that shallow. Might have been something Wallace would consider.

Cuz without a doubt done his hammy on Saturday. You dont pull up like that without a pretty serious injury. I'd love it if he got up to play next week but if he isnt fit then he doesnt play. The RFC should be above playing anyone that is not fully fit. It's a shame if it finished like this for Cuz as he has bought so much to the team. I'll miss that bloody cheeky grin of his in the yellow and black not to mention his absolute team focused determination. He was good for us.

risk him for what? he's never playing again. even if he yanks the thing off the bone, it ain't gunna matter

we win, we finish 15th

we lose, we finish 15th

what exactly are we risking?

He admitted himself he thought it was gone, but in the rooms he still had all the strength in it as normal so it may be ok. Pretty standard treatment to be icing it regardless of if it had torn or even if it was just cramping/tightness as hoped. It's precautionary, hardly the final judgement on him playing.

The Documentary airs this week, it's the last game of footy he will ever play. If he can jog down the race they should put him out there. At the very least he'll be helping the club by attracting a bigger crowd.

Agree he should play. Financially makes sense even if he sits on the bench the entire game.

Agreed, and that's why I said evenif he plays the 2nd half of the game in the forward pocket, may even snag a goal or 2!
