if the news isn't good for hime I'd hate to think what he might do to himself. It would be irresponsible of the AFL to turn their back on Cousins whatever the decision is.

SEN just crossed to Sandy Roberts and he said that an announcment is expected within the next 20 - 25 minutes and that Ben will is expected to issue a statement but will not field questions.

Very pleased that there have been no announcements yet. I think this means that the AFL's attempt to do a deal which involves Cousins agreeing to stay out of football until 09, has been rejected by the Cousins camp.
IMO the longer it goes on the more likely it is that Cousins will be permitted to register and subject to conditions relating to his health and welfare, join the Tigers immediately.

Cousins found guilty of bringing the game into disrepute and suspended for 12 months.
Can apply to enter the draft in 2009.
