Interesting question.
Caracalla is in charge of ball movement. Does that include moving the ball into the forward 50 or once the ball zings over the 50 m line it's the forward coachs fault responsibility? If it's a sh!t kick, obviously the forward setup was wrong, or Dimma moved someone. It couldn't be Blakes ball movement or delivery.

Nearly everyone on here wanted Elton out, but nominated Maric, Soldo, Chol, Garthwaite and the Punt Rd light posts in his place. Obviously Dimma missed the communique.
So now we've got. 2 sets of the 7 dwarves, no Snow White and a couple of talls scattered somewhere.
Truck Rutten obviously got his own way with the majority of talls down back. Probably expecting the odd 1 or 2 high balls to come in. He might be in for a surprise.
Caracalla got the cream. Typical ex cat.
Who is our poor bastard forward coach? Leppa, he's probably showing the cupboard is bare. Gimme the 7 dwarves or get Schached the lot of you.
Poor bloody Dimma, lost the game before it starts with his selections. If by a miracle we win, caraleppatruck will get the plaudits. as they should :hihi

You can put the blame on List management on why we've come to this spot. Why are Elton and Hampson still on the list? Why were non performing talls given so many opportunities ahead of young talented talls. That is another story though.

You don't think Hardwick had a say in these said players? It was only a couple weeks back where he mentioned in his press conference that we missed Hampson.

Actually the baboon method is that each baboon massages each others ar$e in a show of solidarity, so you don't really avoid it. ;D

He has a major say in that he sets out the type of player he needs for his game style like he did in the recruiting of Morris, Hunt, Thomas, Petterd, Townsend etc.

Correct.
All those years of dud Dimma selections stymied our development.
He perservered with the selections of players who weren't up to it, year after year.
That is down to the senior coach.

I get what your saying but I also think people need to realize that the VFL should be used for development, the firsts team should be selected with the best chance of winning each week..

For to long we haven't had a decent VFL team, now with fly and some of talented kids we can hope for their development to Earn their spot rather than being gifted games...

I'm not always in agreement with selections like everyone and tonight will be interesting, hope as others say they don't bomb it in as we have past few weeks, if we have a stratergy and execute it will show good coaching given our lack of 2nd tall forward options currently..
