When will Bernie go !!

CC TIGER said:
You mean twice in 9 games this year, against 2 sides most would say will play off in the GF. I don't want to sound like I think Dimmas a genius, however I think he's coached ok this season considering the cattle we have, sh!t we don't even have a half decent second tall forward , I think they have done well to create a forward half that has been in all but one game for the season.

It does not matter that we are an inferior side, which we are.
We were 5 goals up v Giants and Dogs, both top teams, but could not win.
Why not?
If we are just too poor, then fine, we shall just roll over and not bother.
But clearly we are not that poor, we can play, but can't win. Why not.
A change is needed, or this continues.
It has been so for too long.
I don't want instability, but there comes a time when it is unacceptable to go on as it is.
I think it is time. Mc Rae looks like a good coach.
We need to progress, not make excuses or apologise for hear losses.
Time to get tough. Time to make hard decisions.

again, hyperbole. It hurts. But Perspective needed. This post would generate no argument is posted after a flogging at home to Carlton or Brisbane. We just lost to the flag favourites by a kick at their home ground.

And they were playing *smile* and we were 5 goals in front just before 3/4 time. 3 weeks in a row we have lost games we should have won. They just do not know how to get over the line. It just keeps happening; the same as it was 5 years ago. This club just keeps inventing new ways to lose.

But as rubbish as Hardwick is the leaders need to take their share of the heat as well. Jack Riewoldt FFS. 2nd quarter 15 metres out dead in front hits the post. For a player of his calibre that is just criminal.

of course. Its all about where you think the list is at. If you think its a top 4 list, you'd want to sack dimma. If you don't, and I don't, you'd think he's doing OK. I thought it was a good coaching effort to all-but beat the best side away from home. Just my opinion. We're jinxed at the moment. All things being equal, we win at least 1, maybe jag 2 of the last 3 games. It hurts, but we're in renovation mode.

We're not jinxed, its the clubs fault we find ourselves in the position we're in.
Hardwick is an ordinary coach, who should have never been extended.
The list is full of holes.
That is the fault of the RFC.
Don't forget Hardwick, Hartley, Gale, etc have been at the helm for SEVEN plus years.
That is failure that would not be tolerated at any professional club.
Tell me, how does Hartley still have a job?

Again, this post would be irrefuteable if we'd been flogged, and if we were badly in the red on the won/ loss ledger.

Geez I thought I was emotional, some of youse have lost your sh!t. Get it together

It's a tough comp snake and you must be ruthless if you want to win a flag. Taking positives out of todays loss because they are one of the favourites and saying we'll learn from this when they are decimated by injures is a loser mentality from both the club and supporters. This is the problem - low expectations.

We have the best top 4 players on any club in the league, all in their primes at once together. That is rare.

We should be top 4. If we had a coach with half a clue, we would be.

Hardwick is destroying the best era of top tier talent this club has had in 30 years.

Flag. That is all. Still light years off. Very worried about list composition right now. So many list holes.

see I look at it differently from you H. I think he's coaching well. We're a few players short in a cut throat comp. Big nuts to go back to the well, players still obviously playing for him. I'm happy with the coach, need a few more good players. We sack Dimma, what are the odds of getting a better coach? Forget it. Other's disagree, I couldn't give a *smile*.

From 5-0 to 5-4, we're on the way. Losing winnable games with a continuous change in tactics during games shows that something doesn't work and yet this team keeps executing it every week. Let's see how much longer the players can accept this coach's methods, then we'll definitely see flogging. We can't even learn the basics FFS.

Yep you should win when your 5 goals up, however teams get beat most weeks after having good leads at one stage. It's just my opinion but I just think the list is just one of those middle road teams, don't forget we have come from behind to win a few this year. Dimma may not be the man but his nowhere near as bad as some make him out to be, does anybody think Claarko would have this team in the top 4 ? No .....FJ is the reason we are middle road.

It appears Clarkos not coaching well after this big lead.... Could be the Vickery effect

good solid post, as usual.

The Dave Astbury of PRE, except you were never bad.

And he gets rewarded with a consultancy role :rofl :rofl

What a joke. FFS this club just loves mediocrity.

Dimma's post match presser is laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Weak leadership is leading to a weak playing group and it shows with these losses where we should have won.

bulldust, you need 4 guns to be thereabouts, we are thereabouts.

Danger, Selwood, Hawkins

Walker, Sloane, Betts, Lynch, Talia, Cameron

Cameron, Kelly, Davis, Scully, Patton, Ward, Green, plus a heap

Kennedy, Gaff, Priddis, Mcgovern

Franklin, Parker, Hannebury, Kennedy, Heeney

4 guns isn't remarkable. In current, everyday terms let alone 30 years. It is for us, which is why so many, including you, are losing it.

Yep it's the one decision the clubs made that has no excuse for making. FJs lived on picking up Jack an Rance and we are just lucky the Dee's had the picks before us otherwise we'd have Trengove not Dusty. We've done it to death but to have gone for flankers over mids and non competive big blokes is simply a woeful theory on recruiting .

It appears Clarke has a much better idea on what it's all about an the fact he wanted Cripps over Lennon gives us a chance to improve.

Last year when we screwed it all up we played the kids.

This time? We play the mascot? Do we have a plan?

have we lost more games than we have won?

This hurts, but this whole 'we are crap sack everyone' mentality is pathetic, weak as *smile*. Now is the time to stand united and support the boys. 3 goals from undefeated, 1 goal/ win from top 4. People are crapping on as if we've been flogged every week.

Is that in record that Clarke wanted Cripps over Lennon? If it is there is some hope. There is no excuse for FJ to still be drawing a wage from the club though.
