When will Bernie go !!

strange post.

Support for the club hoping to we win every game we play is not vacuous, infantile cheerleading imo.

Support is hoping the club can identify what is needed for a premiership.

Wins under a coach who does not have a finals-winning strategy is a waste of everybody's time.

Hardwick has proved that he can engineer wins in the home and away season. September is another matter all together.

Boldness wins finals. Our strategy is anything but.

Surprised at your simplistic view Sin. Not so much others on here.

It's a game, a sport

Supporters go to games hoping their team wins. I am one of them and doing anything else is not something I can do.

I have opinions about coaches and players and Game plans but none of that changes the fact that I rock up every week hoping we win. Winning is fun.

Fair enough. If you don't mind our holding pattern of overall failure.

Sorry Sin, but you can't just pass it off as 'winning is fun'.

Your position is valid, I suppose, but too accepting for me.

Equally as mystifying is how a mediocre coach can carry on for so long without being called on his lack of results.

Wins? Pfft.

Join the pom pom brigade.

I want vision. Inspiration. A system that not only wins "arm wrestles" but blows unworthy teams to the sh!thouse.

I want my team to be ruthless. Hardwick doesn't know the meaning of the word.

He has never coached to dominate. Everything is does is about restricting the oppo score. Never believed in scoreboard pressure and never will.

LOL at the blinkered need for "wins". You guys don't seem to realize how much time and resources have already been frittered away by a cripplingly timid club.

Ha love your passion Red but sometimes think you suffer from paralysis due to over analysis. The complexity you seek is not there. We just need to WIN yes WIN enough H&A games to play in spring and WIN enough games in the month of Sep to give us a shot at the big dance.

Don't give a fat rats clacker how we WIN games of footy as long as we WIN. WINNING is what this caper is all about.

some good posting Baron Samedi. people against your view are the people I find confusing.

people wanna win, that's fine. but where will that take us? I have some serious questions for the brightsiders:
- do people legitimately believe the club is on the right track?
- do people believe the current group is capable of winning a flag in 2017?
- do people believe the current group is capable of winning a flag in the next 5 years?
- do people believe Dimma is the man to take us forward?

If you think yes to any of those questions, I'd be interested to know why you think this.

If you think no to all of those questions, then what is the point of winning games in 2017? What will it achieve?

To a flag.

Okay, I'm on a break... haha

1. No, but it is getting better
2. No
3. There has to be a chance, especially with improved drafting achieving big positives over those five years - Next year is supposed to be great for talls, which would be a big help moving forward
4. No BUT you just never know what a massive kick up the pants may have done for him. For me... Bring on someone else, and we appeared to have structured for this with the assistant appointments in the off-season

I hope I explained my 'sorta-kinda-maybe-hopefully' stance on 3

Winning games achieves a number of positive outcomes for the club:
1. People sign up as members, they don't when a club keeps losing
2. Sponsors sign up and give us money, further helping the club to progress positively into the future
3. We get better TV rights, positively impacting the above two
4. It just feels good to follow a winning team rather than, for example, The RFC circa 2016. If you've got kids you REALLY learn about this one
5. PRE would be such a happy flower sniffing place to be :hihi

weirdsville.

I can understand people being down on Dimma. I can understand people thinking we should have sacked him. But starting a thread with this title before the opening bounce is beyond me. Its infantile, self-serving and obnoxious. lets saddle up and save the bagging if the wheels fall off. Then all the Dimma haters can have a big party fiesta with a keg and strippers and go I told you so crazy, which a few will enjoy as much a flag the way they carry on.

I'll tell you what's weird - your blind positivity.

That, and acting like any criticism of Hardwick is a slap in the face. Why is a fan site so important to you?

I didn't start the thread, but it's a bloody good one :hihi

Blind positivity? so you missed the first 2 sentences?

No worries Baz. Its the same old same old. As soon as anyone gets under your skin, as sin did, the hyper dismissal nonsense hyperbole comes out. Its James Hird-esque.

and the Tigers are what's important to me. And understand and tolerate white anting up to a point. But its all about context, and class.

Baron, lets not forget as little as 3 or so years ago you were writing about the genius of Dimma.. Remember that was 4 years into his stay..

Just because not all see it your way doesn't make it incorrect..

As for Wins, thats all that matters, players feed of wins and confidence especially in a young group, wishing for your loved team to do anything other than win is absolutely nuts, stupid and extremely arrogant to suggest i told you so..

Agree with Sin, we watch each week to win, its a game....

I was respectful to Sin, I value his opinion even if counter to my own.

He ain't no cheerleader unlike some. As in, ya know, you.

Being happy with winning our way to another EF or even SF loss is what's idiotic.

Like a sheep dully eating grass in a paddock, TT. But hey, different strokes eh?

You say it with certainty Baron, can you accept that its your opinion? you have no more idea than anyone else that should we make the finals we would be knocked out immediately because of our coach, its almost arrogant to suggest as much.. You can quote history all day long, if we win enough matches to make finals its a changed list and coaching panel as is the case almost every year!

I wanted a change of coach at seasons end also, however it hasn't happened, i won't support loses simply because im upset they didnt replace the coach because I BELEIVE.... I don't claim to know everything and i hope Dimma gets the boys firing so we can all enjoy a bloody good season, pretty simple..

You're a believer, all good TT.

Nah, more a glass half full type...

I don't agree with all the club has done, however as im really invested in my own family, career etc i cant with any certainty be sure of inner happenings at RFC to be crystal clear on their decision making, again, i don't agree with all from afar. Up until that time i have opinions and hope they win, i think as supporters wanting to win (i.e. supporting) is the least we can do....

Claiming to have the crystal ball and suggesting its better to lose.... Well im glad im not in that place..

As i said in another thread, irrespective of our fortunes i cant wait for footy to be back as i truly love the game and spectacle and watch (to my wife horror) about 5-6 games a week, love all footy, obviously have a much more enjoyable year when were winning!!

exhibit a. dismiss, deride. Its your modus operandi. But you'll be in a good position when we start losing right?

at least you backed off from blind optimism to cheerleader, something I guess.
