When will Bernie go !!

A recap on your contribution on this thread recently :

You started by claiming no board challenge could happen if we bow out. So far, so good. Wrong, but then you often are.

Then I posited the opposite. That a board challenge would happen. Nothing has changed.

You immediately dissembled, true to form, mumbling something about hoping it doesn't happen.

As soon as another poster argued that a board challenge couldn't happen, you were all over it again like the coward you are. Again, true to form.

And now, you're trying to find holes where there are none.

If we straight set, hello board challenge.

Sinners, a man I respect, disagrees with me.

You, a poster I do not respect, hung around the edges like a weasel.

I hang around the edges like a weasel, you are hung like a weasel.

Anyway, squad announced soon.

Took you a while to frame a poor answer for a family forum.

You are struggling.

Take a hike. We'd prefer Phantom, the passionate guy you drove off the site.

Interesting that you should posit that opinion as fact, but no problem, I like that.

I don't think you've thought this through, however.

If we straight set, thats as good as missing finals altogether for the psyche of the club. An absolute, unmitigated disaster.

If you think last year was intense, watch out, because every middle of the road supporter will be furious.

The prospect of a coordinated challenge, if only to force movement on the failed head coach, is highly likely.

I'll say it again - straight sets is as good as 16th in the eyes of the club's supporters.
I have thought it through and it is so close to being a stone cold certainty it basically is fact

I am a middle of the road supporter, if you read my posts from a year ago I wanted a change of coach. However to my mind we are a year ahead of where I expected us to be. I still believe our best team is not yet on the park, it will Include Bolton, CEllis, menadue, Markov etc and it will have a functioning CHF/relief ruck. It we snag a flag this year then that's a massive bonus because I strongly believe our best is in front of us

My thoughts too. But throw in a promising young forward from the draft, and Cal Moore has a future too.

It will be really disappointing, but losing to Geelong (who are favourites) and Sydney (who are Sydney) isn't the same as 16th, especially if we're in both games. Again - disappointing verging on tragic - yep. Worthy of throwing the toys out of the cot? Not even close. That said, if it happens, I may change my mind. ;)

Fair enough Sin.

Yes.... Makes tonight even more important. They say you have to go through the pain before the joy - we've paid up in advance three times!

Agree. If we lose in straight sets, but in 2 cracking games the year will be a success, though very disappointing. If we win tonight but then get thrashed in the prelim questions should be asked.

Well Dimma is now alongside Frawley, Northey, Bourke, Jewel and others who have coached our great club to a final.
We are favourites to win the prelim final and if we do, Dimma has two finals wins.

That would put him in a pretty select group.

Really? You can't just enjoy it?

All I have is concern for you.

Oh, I'm loving it Baz. Best $135 I ever spent, that ripoff scalped ticket. Was surrounded by Cats fans too.. They got a bit excited in the third but settled down late, nice fellas.

I was worried we'd treat this like the pinnacle of the season but Dimma's presser right now shows we still have unfinished business and the team know it.
