When will Bernie go !!

Nah expect the same bloke to recover from the win by Wednesday, And go

We'll lose it at selection, Hardwick has no idea, Saints by 6 goals.

Their erroneousness knows no bounds

Lol, your anger is palpable. You see, us critics actually enjoy this thing called winning. The obvious reason we're critical is we ain't done much of it when it counts.

You? You're some weird-ass angry hippy. Angrier when we win, if that can be believed.

Keep on frothin' brother. It's entertaining.

As we all know, everything is possible, yet a lot will have to go wrong in the remainder of this season for Hardwick to not be coaching RFC in 2018.

Was it confusious that said

There's two kinds of wrong

Wrong and really wrong?

are you suggesting he hasn't wasted the prime years of our best players?

if so, what are your reasons and what is your measure of success?

cos I haven't seen any.

Have not deviated from my belief that poor recruiting has hamstrung our ability to really challenge for a flag over the last few yrs (clearly last yr was an anomaly).

Also believe that Dimma has never been a better coach than he is right now.

One week at a time though....

woo hoo, gotta keep this buffoon thread going. Its like a budhist temple, you have to dip in periodially for us to be smiled on by the gods. Its a gift.

oh he'll enjoy it alright.

One thing I won't do is paint a bleak picture of events that are yet to transpire and then use this as the rational to launch scathing assessments of Dimma.

I will however enjoy each and every victory we have in 2017.

One week at a time though.....

Been an impressive performance by Dimma thus far.

One of the youngest sides in the league, probably the smallest forward line in the league and sitting top 4.

Having seen off such coaching greats as Kenny Hinkley and Brendan Bolton in successive weeks.

Kenny must have stolen Dimmas handbrake at half time.

Steady on Tobes.

I reckon there's a link between the level of pre-game misery in here, and victory.

This is pre-game, and we want to beat the saints.

We'll lose it at selection. But lose it again with poor game day coaching. Sack everyone Monday. Stop the rot.

Should read " your erroneous knows no bounds "

Fantastic angry rant telling easy how angry he is and how angry you aren't. Well played Carts.

Whatever happened to that young superstar genius coach that was walking on water last year? One spectacular wet fart while no-one was looking, then when everyone noticed what had happened he's slunk off to the showers to clean up n try to find a new pair of jocks.

During all of Hardwicks tenure many have been critical of our tackling numbers. I have been critical of our goal assist numbers as a measure of our lack of system. In recent years I have been critical of our bounce numbers as an indicator of our lack of run. All this time we have been winning disposal counts, clearances, contested disposal etc.

This year our opponent difference numbers have us ahead on bounces, tackles and score assists as well as inside 50 and marks inside 50. On the other hand we are behind on virtually everything else, except goals and behinds.

I for one did not think Hardwick could turn this around quickly partly because our list management and gameplan favoured F50 stoppages as a main avenue to goal. There were some signs last year with continued selection of Rioli, etc.

It has happened much faster than I thought possible and in the case of Hardwick I was not sure he could adapt at all. I am still not convinced it stands up to ball carrier pressure in the midfield from quality teams, but hell if all we have to worry about is being outplayed by the quality teams that's a massive improvement.

huge week by Leppacella.

Thank goodness for Leppacella.
New game plan & sanity at the selection table.
Gone from a laughing stock to side that's looking capable of playing finals.
Let's hope the club continues to move forward in both recruiting and list development.
Especially list development.

Tracking fairly well in this area lately. Massive bunch of inexperienced youngsters holding their own each week at the moment n still a handful in the magoos waiting for their chance to find a senior spot.

Shorty, Lego, Nank, Daniel, Geezer, George, Bolta, Steng, Mendoo, all under thirty games n then KMac n Lambchop still under fifty games.

Hopefully the recruiters do another good job this end of season n find us a quality tall or two to both fill an urgent hole and provide for future needs.

It's a good point TM , thing is about those mentioned there's no KPP or genuine mid, depending on what happens over the next 3 months, it might just be best to go to the draft again and back what's allready there to have a tilt over the next couple of years and continue to build with kids at the same time to have continued success, bloody fantastic we have 2 first rounders this year, hope it doesn't become 3

I am excited by the team and the list but I don't expect us to win a flag in 2017. What really excites me is 2018 and beyond.

Dimma was poo-pooed when he said this is the best list he has had, including by many on this site. I don't have to defend Baron (I quite often disagree with him and to be honest he can look after himself) but he has consistently said that the list is very good as well.

What we have now is competition for spots. That will get even hotter imo because I fully expect Jack Graham and Corey Ellis to be good senior players, Ryan Garthwaite as well. Rioli, Bolton, Castagna, Butler, Stengle, Short, Menadue and Markov have all played in the last 2 weeks and that's exciting but the key to us building a team to win a flag is going to be the next offseason. If we can recruit some talls and our 18-20 year olds continue to develop then look out.

This is Balme's domain. It's his chance to deliver us a premiership.

my only concern is the lack of emergent talent in the 19-23 bracket, Sinners.

rioli and now menadue is heartening.

bolton. short. maybe stengle.

not so bad, where is our weitering? our daniher?

some holes are becoming apparent but these are problems for 2020.

right now, the comp is open and we can challenge.
