Welcome Tom Brown

Are all the jacob van roon doesn't do f all fans still here or have they necked em selves for how dumb the crap they were talking before even seeing Brown play. Brown has the ability to get to tom Stewart levels!
You’ve been very quiet on the Kamdyn McKintosh thread lately.
Seems you’re too busy baiting posters on the Tom Brown site to apologise for your continued bagging of a Premiership Tiger.
Carry on

Tigers gave me permission to stand next to Brown this morning. I can confirm he's easily 3metres tall. Tiger website update is pending.

Whats the saying, its better to stay silent and have people think you might be a *smile*, rather than opening your mouth and confirming it

*smile* footballers don’t win two premierships.

I'm sure there are a few actually, but Kamdyn McIntosh is not one of them, he can be patchy at times, makes a few mistakes, but he has been a great player for us.

Now, back to Tom Brown who is the subject of this thread, he seems to be going well. Still young and inexperienced, I expect patchy form for a while yet, but looks to have the talent to play at least 100 games.

Looks to have composure and good decision making, clearly a beautiful peg.

Macca has played 180 games and 2 flags, whilst he wasnt our marquee player he held the wing for years during a dynasty (yes he missed one but worked his backside off to get back in). Ive seen a few players over the years i was amazed they got to 100 games, almost never a 200 gamer, Macca is a heart and soul player, integral both on and off the field, hes coming to the end over the next couple years sadly, what a great career and clubman, hail Macca!

Brown was alright last night. Still, I want more than just ‘alright’.

In contrast, Adelaide’s Michalanney, a 20yo, 190cm defender taken at pick 17 in the 2022 draft had 25 disposals last night. Based on the praise heaped on Brown in this very thread, that kind of performance would make the PRE collective explode.
Yeah he's been good for one game in a row. Starting to string them together

He was dropped for good reason, his season was very poor, but he has come back with a vengeance. Tigers do have to continue to make decisions on the over 30s and he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain his form if last couple of games.

Edit: oops you were talking Brown, still had my head space on Kmac.

Thought the same thing. This is another anti-Richmond situation. With all the kids we had especially during the dynasty..including that kid wearing #4 ....forgot his name....only Lids from 20 years ago won the RS award??? Have a look at some winners: Jaidyn Stephenson, Andrew McGrath, Lewis Taylor, Danyle Pearce....what a joke!!

So don't get caught up in the rising slur hype. Is it a predicter of team success?
Who would you rather - Brown or Nankervis?

Rising star nominations are a pretty good (but certainly not perfect) predictor of a players future success.

Our 2017, 2019 and 2020 premiership teams each had around 12 players that received a rising star nomination early in their careers.

We’ve only had two nominations in the last three and a half season (Cumberland and Ralphsmith). Not one player from the 2021 draft has been nominated yet despite all of them being taken inside the top 30.

The lack of nominations in recent years has been a clear warning sign that all is not well with our youth.

To date, Nankervis has more exposed form and received 3 coaches votes to Brown’s zero so probably deserves his nomination this week
