Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

Watched the replay... he was so much more important than his stats suggest. Like someone said already, competed really well in the air, even keeping the likes of Talia and co out of the contest. Massive upside for next season.

I reckon he's a keeper. Chemistry with Butler. Works well with Edwards.

No change to the 22 in my opinion. Loved watching him this year.

No buts. Premiership player. Manages to provide a target up forward and marks more than his share for a bloke his size. Follows up and gets involved in a lot of contests and is part of the chain of pressure that puts defences under extreme pressure causing them to break down. George is a catalyst.

Throw in Stengle as well and then eventually Maurice Rioli Jnr. Doubt that he will be traded this year, even if he is the most obvious bottom six that will be overtaken, the club wouldn't have the stomach to trade away a premiership player. That said he is only 21 years old it's doubtful he'll want to spend most of the next ten years as depth. Will be very surprised if his name is not brought up in trade discussion either at the end of next year or the following.

George started the year as a small forward rover and ended it a small forward structural player. He fair dinkum played centre-half-forward in the prelim. Affected the air ball. Brought it to ground for the other smalls and sometimes himself. He should be immensely proud. A key member of our forward line. (A key forward, as it were.)

Shai is a briliiant aerialist but we don't want him playing CHF any time soon. Stengle never.

Only had 10 pressure acts and again too many fumbles. 30% disposal efficiency. But hey he's a premiership player now so what would I know.

Correct .

Jeeez people are quick to kick in the boots here .
George kicked a critical goal in the second half, had many tackles and pressire acts .He will not be traded , but needed in the sode fpr a back to back effort next year .

Many on here wanted Dimma gone HELLO where the hell are you NOW ?????

Think there is a fair bit of love for George regardless of his perceived weaknesses. Only issue for us is that as a club we have a lot of small forwards and they can't all play now and there are more coming to the club. Therefore some will be going. From a business perspective it is therefore a question of timing and the offer. From a player perspective George is a premiership player (banked) and in the future - without further improvement on his current level, he may need to go to another club to get a regular game.

Course he may improve and keep Bolton and Stengle at bay next year, but the year after it will be Bolton, Stengle and Naish fighting for his spot. No rancor here - this is the reality of the list.

End of next year the writing will be on the wall for George. He will have developed and confirmed his spot or he won't have in which case he will be well hunted for his position in the team. I hope he takes his game up a level.

Reckon every club will be looking to draft a george or 2 in the upcoming drafts.

I'm looking forward to clubs drafting Kramers, Jerrys, and Elaines. We already had a Newman.

Is close to re-signing for 2 yrs apparently however I have heard Carlton have shown some interest.
