Welcome to Tigers: Jason Castagna

I am his biggest defender but that shot at the Punt Road end was inexcusable.

Checkside on a 45 degree angle and 25m out?

Gimme a spell.

George - take a deep breath. Make sure of every kick.

I want him to play in the GF because he's big, strong and quick but by God he needs to *smile*ing relax.

It was a shocker, however where were his team mates yelling at him when he shaped up for that kick, they should have yelled at him to kick it straight, I mean honestly what on earth was he thinking about, Bolts could be the X factor that wins a GF, surely he can bring just as much pressure as George., We may have to also accept that Cotching is out, does that mean Miles plays in a GF?

Georgie was fantastic. Yeah, he made some blues, but he played 5'10 centre-half-forward and barely lost a contest.

Presence.
This pretty much sums it up for me as well. As I've said before, George's role is to provide pressure in the forward line, to run his opponent into the ground and to find space when he can.

I was only able to watch the game on TV, however it seemed to me that George's opponent was certainly tiring from about midway through the 3rd quarter. This has the effect of compromising the Giant's zone defence. All of a sudden our other forwards are finding a bit more space. George was still full of running in the final quarter.

George plays the ultimate team game and we need him to do this. As for some of his errors, every other player on the ground made errors as well.

I wouldnt drop George

The guy gives 100% and is so manic that the opposition is worried about him and causes them to rush,He is a strong tackler and extremely quick and applies massive pressure.

His decision making and disposal is terrible and mainly due to confidence , This could easily change within a week with 1 dominant game where it all just clicks and he will start to break games open.

The team seem to thrive on his energy and the 3 boys in the foward line seem to play as a team in the team and i wouldnt be wanting to disrupt this at this time of the year.

Leave him in for me

Yeah, he was the get-out kick a lot yesterday. Basically kept us in the contest in the first half.

Thought it was probably his best game he has played for us.

I initially thought he needed to be dropped for his failure when under pressure. I watched the replay and imho he stays. No change unless we are forced to.

Nearly took mark of the year, gee he has improved, just playing him in the finals and backing him in has given us a boost. He is important to beating the Crows backline.

Could've finished with 4 goals and mark of the year. If only. Keeps his place. Someone just needs to tell him this week that they have confidence in him to kick goals. What's he got to lose. Can't be worse than some of his attempts yesterday. Not to mention the rushed behind he forced late in the game through our goals.

Just 21 years old
#29 - Rookie draft
played 22 games this year

Kid has a future and will improve his brain farts and disposal

Along with Cotchin he butchered the ball yesterday. So many mistakes and would much prefer Bolton or Stengle. He and McIntosh just too error prone. I love his energy but finishing and skills under pressure arent good enough.

I was sitting in a forward pocket and watched him a fair bit ,

Gee despite his errors , he causes the opposition a few problems with and without the ball with his pace , he makes them nervous

Thought George was one of our best.

In the first half especially in the first quarter when GWS were on top he was one of few that was applying intense pressure and heat on their half backs. Without this they would have cut us up with their ball movement.

No way he gets dropped and for the way we play he would be first picked. He is such a fast big bodied high intensity player. Sure he has alot of george moments but he makes the opposition *smile* in their pants.

Read this thing in the Hun that because he lost some table tennis bet to Butler that he has the initials DB tattooed on his bum.

Seen enough its only 2 mins into VFL GF Bolton is a star with 2 goals
Drop Chaos Costanza in Bolton

Watched the replay. Some of his disposal was diabolical, particularly easy missed handball targets. 50percent disposal efficiency. Pressure acts were a little down too. Even so he's Benn involved in two convincing finals wins and there should be no change. Don't rock the boat. Team is settled.

Yep the fact is we won so all is forgiven. If we had lost PRE would have been unanimous in demanding his head on a stick. Watch the sentiment change next week if he puts in another performance like that and we lose. Despite the pressure he exerts he is a liability every time he has the ball.
Bang on the money. I hope for everybodies sake he goes better next week because he won't get away with that performance against the crows.
