Needs to learn to use his left foot. Needs to stop kicking banana kicks. Needs to stop twirling the ball in his hands as he steps up for a set shot.

Someone needs to coach this nonsense out of him.

BTW, if he doesn't get the Rising Star nomination this week, there are serious problems with the system. When was he last time a 5 game player kicked 23 goals in 18 games?
He does use his left. Has snapped a few goals with it and used it for a lovely long release kick out of half back on Saturday night.

On the twirling, I took note of one set shot. No twirling after he began his run. He sprayed it at right angles, out on the full from straight in front. He needs more practice.

Agreed, spook. Every night after everybody else knocks off George should be doing an extra hour on his twirling. Unless that causes OP. Then maybe only an extra half hour.

Speaking of rookies, how good is that 2014 rookie draft turning out? Short, Castagna, Lambert and Soldo! By seasons end all four of those players will/should be upgraded to the senior list.

Hadn't noticed that. Impressive.

Edit: Actually it's downright amazing. Melican & Newman at Sydney, McKenna at Essendon, Sinclair at St.Kilda, plus Preuss, Cox, McKernan & Hammelmann playing the odd game and that's about it from that draft.

Ok, fair enough, I stand corrected.

Then I gots nuthin. He is just a poor kick.

Onya Chaos.

No one knows what Georgie is going to do next.

Not the opposition.
Not his teammates.
Not Dimma.
Not the supporters.
Not even Georgie.

But currently that's part of the package. And he's still a young'un. He'll get better and more level headed with experience.

Francis Jackson wizardry?

As per baron's request

George 82% game time, 3 marks, 1x I50, 11 disposals, 9 effective  zero tackles, 1x 1%er, 10 UP, 1 CP, 1 GA, 103 MG
He didnt hit the scoreboard at all.

So I'm not sure if he missed from 20 m dead in front, went otf or never had a shot on goal.
Seeing I haven't watched the game yet perhaps he may have played down back ;D
I'll just wait on comments from those that watched the game. How did he go?

Was quiet, love him, won't get dropped.

Many Hawthorn players were deer in headlights today and he's a big part of that.

Didn't have his best game but brings what makes us good this year forward pressure.

IMO had a stinker not much involvement in the game for a small forward

I'm no defender of George, but that can happen as a small forward, particularly when young. The small worry perhaps leading into crunch finals is that Butler also didn't do much. Not sure we can win against top sides when 2/3 of the small fellas have off days. Caddy picked up the slack today, but others will need to share the load too. Getting Jack back will help.

Every week one of the small brigade is quieter than the others. I think they are looking at the output as a whole.

Yep. Was George's turn to be the village idiot this week but as an ensemble they hit the spot. Freaks other teams out.

Geez there's some funny stuff written here. Involved in a number of scores with great pick ups and handballs. Should have been spotted a couple of times when he was clear of opponent but poor delivery to him.

Our forward pressure was again fantastic. He turned Sicily in the 2nd and wished he had of baulked Smith for what would have been a great goal. As it was did the typical George thing and kicked it out of bounds. Leter took a mark 35 out and passed to Caddy 20 out (George didn't appear to want the set shot himself though) and Caddy missed.

No change for the small forward for mine, although Butler was liming in the last.
